OUT ME...
Born and raised in VitoriaGasteiz, since I was a child I was curious about how things around me were done. In high school, I had my first contact with 3D software and that’s when I started to get interested and learn about design. Since then, I am passionate about design and CAD technologies.
I like to take care of the details because they make the difference and increase the added value of the products. Based on the idea that “attractive objects work better”, by Donald A. Norman (2005), I always try to find the balance between aesthetics, functionality and usability.

GRADUATION WORK The project is part of the Doctoral Thesis about the reusability and flexibility of the parametric associative 3D models based on surfaces of the researcher and professor Aritz Aranburu. My particular work was focused on the improvement of parametric CAD efficiency in industrial companies. For this purpose, a methodology of parametric solid modelling was developed, focused on the flexibility and reusability of the models. The DBZ-MU methodology not only covers the modeling process but also facilitates and guides the designer in the process of breaking down or deconstructing the geometries. In this way, the overall time of the modeling process is reduced. As it is a confidential project, the content is not allowed to be disclosed. Next, some of the knowledge areas worked during the project and acquired skills are described. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

DBZ-MU DESIGN METHODOLOGY The DBZ-MU Methodology has been applied in all projects. It is based on the “Design Thinking for the development of innovation projects thanks to the incorporation of the knowledge of the users during the 6 stages of the process. The Key lies in incorporating the knowledge of users and customers in the internal processes of innovation and development. The Objective is to help companies to identify and materialize new products and services with high added value.

LEHIA CONCEPT BIKE
Lehia is a personal project born from the motivation for bicycles and with the aim of learning in a selftaught way 3D rapid prototyping programs.

IDEATION PHASE How do you get a bicycle to transmit its own personality? As with cars, humans tend to identify faces in inanimate objects. In the ideation phase, different geometries were worked out by means of rapid sketching.
DEVELOPMENT FASE DE IDEACIÓN PHASE The “Sub-Division” modeling technique was used to generate the 3D model of the frame, handlebar and fork. Using this method, a prototype with curvature and G2 surface continuities was quickly modelled. SolidWorks was used to model the rest of the components and assembly.
FINAL PRODUCT The result is a mountain bike with its own personality. The front lines make the user identify a face that transmits character and aggressiveness. In addition, the handlebars, in harmony with the frame, enhance this perception. As if that were not enough, these geometries not only play an aesthetic role but also add rigidity to the frame.
FINAL PRODUCT Another outstanding feature is the combination of colours. The picture has a glossy iridescent finish whose tone changes according to the viewing angle. The rest of the components, on the other hand, have a matte black finish that focuses attention on the frame.
FINAL PRODUCT This combination of aggressive geometries and characteristic colors makes it a bike with its own personality that leaves no one indifferent.
PORT-A BRUSH Redesigning the Oral-B Pro 750 toothbrush to suit young cosmopolitans was the goal of this project.

EXPLORATION PHASE In the first phase, the target user was analysed to identify their real needs, with emphasis on mobility. Then the market was analyzed to know the existing products and to position ourselves in the market. Finally, the complete brush was analysed, from the electrical system to the kinematic system of the internal mechanism.
Personal Role Responsible for electrical and kinematic analysis.

Thanks to these analyses we defined the restrictions and identified the insights to define the specification brief.

In the ideation phase, we proposed a product moodboard to formally define the colors, geometries and materials. Then, through quick sketching, we generate different proposals.
DEVELOPMENT PHASE By means of reverse engineering the more than 40 pieces that formed the original brush were replicated. In addition, it was possible to simulate the real movement of the inner mechanism, from the motor to the bristles.

fasteners
First, using the CESedupack software, we select the materials. Then, we define the fastenings and ribs of the housings by adjusting them to the internal components and the head. Finally, we define the manufacturing processes and develop the moulds and electrodes for each part. To check the manufacturability, we simulate the milling of each part using the NxSiemens software, choosing tools from catalogues.

DEVELOPMENT PHASE
DEVELOPMENT PHASE Finally, using Photoshop, we digitize the final proposal to achieve a quick realistic visualization of the concept. This communication material allowed us to clearly transmit the geometries, finishes and colors of our concept car.
Personal Role Responsible for all graphic material.
FINAL PRODUCT Mobyn, the final proposal, works the light in terms of security and emotionality. Its small size and autonomous, electric driving make it the ideal car for moving around the eco-cities of 2025.
