Since launching our first trip in 2009, we have welcomed more than 22,000 participants from 34 countries in partnership with more than 378 organizations, while impacting more than 40,000 children.

We’re doubling the number of MOMentum Yearlong Journey participants – taking 15,000 women over three years – by expanding our global network of partner organizations.

Through our leadership development work with community leaders around the globe, Momentum plans to exponentially boost its impact –from the individual to their families, communities, and beyond.

Momentum is creating an effective business model with infrastructure that includes long-term resource generation.

MOMENTUM YEARLONG JOURNEY

The MOMentum Yearlong Journey is an immersive experience that empowers women to connect to Jewish values, engage with Israel, and take action in their home and communities, while fostering unity without uniformity.

It includes a profound, personal 8-day experience in Israel, during which women explore the Jewish homeland, take in inspiring Jewish wisdom, and join a global sisterhood. Back home, women channel their energy and passion personally, professionally, and communally, and continue their journey through educational and leadership programs together.

HOW WE DO IT Our MOMentum Yearlong Journey Funding Model

SPECIALTY TRIPS

Momentum offers specialty MOMentum Yearlong Journeys for Jewish women who share specific experiences and see the world through a similar, powerful lens. Together they dive into Jewish

values while they explore our shared homeland, learn from world-class speakers, and join a global Jewish family.

MOTHERS OF LONE SOLDIERS

In partnership with Nefesh B’Nefesh, Momentum welcomes mothers of “lone soldiers” – brave young adults who’ve moved to Israel to serve in the armed forces – on a profound 8-day journey. Together, these “mothers in arms” connect with themselves and each other against the beautiful backdrop of the land their children now call home.

MULTI-NATIONAL COHORTS

Momentum brings together Jewish women from across the globe for meaningful cultural exchange and connection. Together, participants experience Israel through the lens of unity, mutual responsibility, and the bond of motherhood. Momentum leads trips in Spanish, French, and Russian languages and welcomes participants from Latin America, France, Morocco, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, and Estonia.

MOMENTUM MEN

The MoMENtum Men’s Trip is a boot camp for living awesome lives that are guided by Jewish values. MoMENtum Men’s Trip participants enjoy empowering classes led by world-class Jewish educators and Israeli thought-

leaders; explore spiritual Tzfat and Masada’s desert magic; enjoy Shabbat in Jerusalem; and discover how to connect more deeply with themselves, their families, and their communities.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

We’re empowering the next generation of leaders to realize Momentum’s mission. Our newly launched Leadership Development Program dynamically supports the strength of our global partnerships and drives growth within our organization by elevating and cultivating a culture of leadership.

THE MOMENTUM LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIP

Our pilot fellowship program engages participants in an in-person, experiential two-day symposium that weaves together Momentum’s core values and Jewish wisdom with skill-based sessions, peer-to-peer learning, and networking opportunities. Participants are empowered to select their own “module” for the event. Following the symposium, each module will reconvene virtually each month for six months. Upon graduation, each fellow has the tools, techniques, and skills needed to inspire and mobilize others to take action.

THE MOMENTUM CONFERENCE

Momentum’s annual global convention brings together our global community of vibrant, diverse stakeholders for keynotes with expert speakers and immersive breakout sessions – all with the goal of strengthening our organizational partnerships, donor relationships, and alumni networks. Guests include alumni, donors, Partner Organizations, and Jewish non-profit organizations.

MOMENTUM IN ISRAEL

Momentum is “bringing Jewish to life” for the world. Built on the unique lens of the Israeli community, Momentum is leading the way to growing and strengthening the connection between Israel and the Jewish Diaspora. By showcasing Jewish peoplehood and culture in Israel, Momentum elevates this vital connection to the world.

During the MOMentum experience in Israel, embedded in each group, Israeli participants play an important role that is key to the journey. They share what it means to be Jewish in Israel, telling stories of their own families and experiences, and leading conversations that help inspire the connection between Israel and Jews everywhere.

The Momentum Community in Israel offers robust programming that inspires the Israeli community to gain new perspective on their homeland and Jewish heritage.

SALON L’TFUZOT

is a leadership program designed to train and certify facilitators from the Momentum Israeli community to create intimate and engaging conversations with Israelis about Jewish peoplehood and their own identity in living rooms across Israel. This certification is in partnership with The School for Jewish Peoplehood Studies at Tel Aviv University.

MOMENTUM LEARNING CIRCLES

empower Israeli women to embrace their Jewish identity and provide tools and opportunities for positive change in their lives through Jewish values. Momentum educators lead a series of scalable, text-based cohorts that deepen Jewish learning.

MOMENTUM YACHAD CIRCLES

offer the Israeli community the unique opportunity to “pay it forward” and act as social change agents in Israel society. Through workshops, meetings, and holiday events, Momentum connects new immigrants, or “olim”, with Israeli natives, for shared experiences and meaningful dialogue.

YACHAD FOR UNITY

focuses on bringing diverse groups of women from different sectors of Israeli society for combined experiential education and volunteering to find common ground and respect for each other.

Soul Full invites readers to explore Jewish prayer in a compelling and accessible format, with opportunities to learn and reflect on every page. Voices from our global community complement each prayer, connecting readers to the timeless words of our liturgy in new and personal ways. Each chapter concludes with ideas for integrating prayer into the MOMentum Yearlong Journey, and offers engaging ways for parents to introduce prayer to their children. Soul Full is given to MOMentum Yearlong Journey participants at the start of each trip, and a digital adaptation of the book is also available on the Yomm app.

YEAR OF GROWTH

A robust resource for both Momentum Partner Organizations and their participants, Year of Growth features stories from our heritage, learnings from our history, and action-based exercises that deepen Jewish learning and enhance the Momentum Yearlong Journey. Many Community Leaders call on Year of Growth to structure their monthly post-trip session lesson plans, while Momentum alumni use the book’s activities and conversation starters to bring learnings to life with friends and family.

MOMENTUM GRAND

Momentum Grand is an exclusive, transformational, spiritual, and uplifting journey for women looking to invest in themselves and help us continue to build the Momentum movement. Momentum’s virtual, intimate Boutique Learning sessions connect incredible Jewish women through the exploration of Jewish values in a modern world. Each week, Momentum Educators weave together Torah learning, Jewish values, and pertinent issues in our lives and communities.
