A NASM-certified personal trainer, Ashywn is passionate about facilitating safe, scientific, and sustainable lifestyle transformations for individuals. In a significant move aimed at redefining the tourist experience in Goa, the state's tourism department unveiled a pioneering Home Stay and Caravan policy earlier this month. The Home Stay policy promises a number of incentives to homestay owners and is aimed at promoting tourism in the rural and hinterland areas of Goa. By staying in rural areas, tourists will get to understand the culture and heritage of the state, and also experience its cuisine.

Complementing the Home Stay policy, the Caravan policy is set to revolutionise travel and accommodation in Goa. This policy promises to provide amenities in the beach belts for parking caravans. Such parking facilities would also be created in rural parts of the state so that tourists can enjoy the lush green forests of Goa.

Both these incredible policies will greatly help in promoting tourism in offbeat areas in Goa and also in boosting the income of locals living in these areas.

The Birth of AudioPen

Louis Pereira, the brain behind AudioPen, hails from the beautiful town of Porvorim in North Goa. After completing his higher secondary education, he moved to Delhi to pursue his Bachelor's degree in Economics. After completing his course, he joined a management consulting firm in 2013 and worked over there for two years.

In 2015, he gave up his job to set up his own firm in Gurgaon. After running the company for a little over two years, he shut it down and returned to Goa in 2018 to join his family's business. It was during the lockdown in 2020 that he found time to explore his creative side and ventured into building things online for fun. This eventually led to the inception of AudioPen and several other projects.

The Inspiration Behind AudioPen

Louis initially created a basic version of AudioPen as an experiment to learn how to use OpenAI's Whisper API, a powerful speech-to-text technology.

The response he received from users encouraged him to develop it into a standalone tool. The simplicity and efficiency of AudioPen sets it apart from traditional transcription services, making it an attractive option for individuals looking to convert their spoken thoughts into written form effortlessly.
