Structural Batten, which features optimised performance and increased application scope, including steel frame compatibility. With a compatible 35mm PVC Cavity vent strip, James Hardie’s new installation system creates a 35mm cavity.

James Hardie have also taken the opportunity to review and optimise the Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding and Stria™ Cladding board lengths.
Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding and Stria™ Cladding are now available in 3000mm board lengths. To accommodate the trend of larger ceiling heights in modern Australian homes, a 3000mm board length for vertical cladding provides greater coverage to help reduce wastage on site.
Due to this trend, the new 3000mm board length replaces the 2750mm board lengths for Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding. The new 3000mm lengths better suit common wall heights and 4200m lengths give tall walls a continuous look, reducing the need for horizontal joints.
Available in both 4200mm, and now 3000mm plank lengths, Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding and Stria™ Cladding and can both be installed vertically and horizontally.

The Hardie™ Structural Batten and new board lengths for Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding and Stria™ Cladding will be available from the 20th of May 2024 with pre-orders from the 1st of May. The two Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding board lengths indicated above for deletion will be discontinued from the same date.
