Notes: 1. Web stiffeners shall be installed in pairs – one to each side of the web. 2. Web stiffeners shall be cut to fit between the flanges of the Swelite Wooden I-Joist, leaving a minimum 3mm gap (25mm maximum). At bearing locations the stiffeners shall be installed tight to the bottom flange. At locations of concentrated loads the stiffeners shall be installed tight to the top flange. 3. Web stiffeners shall be cut from plywood, LVL or OSB Rim Board. 35mm timber is permissible. Do not use 19mm timber (as it tends to split). 4. Web stiffeners shall be the the minimum width as the bearing lengths required. 5. See Web Stiffener Requirements for minimum stiffener thickness, maximum stiffener height and required nailing. 150mm 6. Where Web Stiffeners are required for use with Joist Hangers the thickness is required to be that of the distance between the web and outside of the flange i.e. H-47mm = 18mm, HI-70 = 30mm & HB-97 = 44mm SCREW LAMINATION NOTES:
