Installation

EziMDF mouldings are easy to install on existing masonry, timber-lined, or metal-framed walls using standard joinery techniques with nails, staples, or screws For optimal results, follow these guidelines:

Fastener Spacing: Do not exceed 600mm spacing for 18mm mouldings or 450mm for 12mm and 15mm mouldings

Fastener Penetration: Ensure fasteners penetrate at least 25mm into the timber framing behind the wall lining for secure fixing

Edge Clearance: Keep fasteners at least 25mm away from edges to prevent splitting at corners and ends.

Nail Guns: When using a nail gun, we recommend a protective tip to prevent bruising typical with MDF and other softwood products

Screw Fixing: Pre-drill pilot holes to accommodate screws without causing damage to the moulding.

Adhesive and Mechanical Fixing: For added strength, especially when fixing to masonry walls, use a high-quality building adhesive in conjunction with mechanical fasteners

EziMDF mouldings are designed for straightforward installation, ensuring a professional finish every time Visit wwwitiaustraliacomau/EziMDF for further information
