Who We Serve

The Israel Tennis & Education Centers (ITEC) operates at the convergence of tennis, education, and social-impact programming in Israel. We aim to instill a “Champion for Life” drive in the hearts and minds of every child, by making tennis – and the values it teaches – accessible to all. We believe sport is a powerful vehicle for personal growth, equipping children with the physical, emotional, mental, and social resilience needed to succeed in life.

We are committed to empowering children from every background and ability, including those facing financial hardship, social marginalization, or geographic isolation. From aspiring champions to underserved youth, every child finds safe, structured, and welcoming environments at our centers, where they can build confidence, learn discipline, cultivate purpose, and feel a true sense of belonging. The Healthy Living Program addresses childhood obesity and promotes lifelong wellness by helping children build sustainable habits around fitness and nutrition.

ITEC’s Mental Health Programs support children affected by trauma, stress, and emotional challenges by expanding access to professional mental health support through the trusted relationships children already have with ITEC coaches, licensed mental health professionals, and innovative therapeutic interventions.

Through personalized guidance, physical activity, and education, participants gain the knowledge and confidence to make healthier choices. Early intervention helps set the foundation for long-term physical and emotional well-being.

Recognizing that healing looks different for every child, ITEC provides support through varied, interconnected approaches that offer both early intervention and ongoing care.

BELONGING These programs bring children from diverse backgrounds together, breaking down barriers related to culture, religion, disability, gender, and social isolation. Through shared experiences, participants develop respect, understanding, and a strong sense of belonging.

Accessible Sport

In a region shaped by deep cultural and political divides, ITEC uses tennis as a neutral ground where children from Jewish, Arab, Christian, Druze, and Bedouin communities come together.

ITEC’s Accessible Sports Program creates an inclusive and supportive environment where children and young adults with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities can thrive.

Through shared experiences on the court, participants build friendships, challenge stereotypes, and develop mutual respect—often for the first time. These early interactions foster understanding not only among children but within their families and communities, helping to break cycles of distrust and division.

Through adapted tennis activities and creative programming, participants build motor skills, confidence, independence, and meaningful social connections. The program emphasizes ability over limitation— ensuring every participant feels valued, capable, and part of a community.

Girls Empowerment The Girls’ Empowerment Program equips girls with the confidence, skills, and support system they need to define their futures and reach their full potential. Through a combination of tennis, fitness, mentorship, and guided discussions, participants explore topics like health, relationships, leadership, and financial literacy. Exposure to female role models—from business leaders to military representatives— expands their sense of what’s possible. This program doesn’t just encourage confidence—it provides a clear roadmap for independence, leadership, and long-term success.
