Little Hoops
Participants will learn fundamental skills, basic techniques, and improvement of motor skills required for the game of basketball. Players will use junior sized balls and 8-foot hoops to build confidence. Practices will take place on Fridays and games will take place on Saturday mornings at the Itasca Park District. Participants will be informed of team placement before the first practice. T-shirts will be provided. If you are interested in being a volunteer coach please indicate this at the time of registration or contact the Athletic Supervisor. WIBA Prep Camp
The following fundamentals will be covered in this basketball camp; dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and ball handling. The teamwork portion will include team offense and defense and out of bounds plays. The skills competition portion will cover ball handling, dribbling, lay-ups, shooting, free throws, defensive slide, one-on-one and three-on-three games. WIBA Coed League
The WIBA Coed League is an introduction to the rules and team atmosphere of organized basketball. Your little player will build basic basketball fundamentals while learning how to work as a team member. In the Coed League no score is kept, focus is on fun and simple mechanics. WIBA Travel League

PROGRAMS & EVENTS Youth Athletics
The Itasca and Wood Dale Park Districts cooperatively offer a youth basketball league specifically for kids currently enrolled in 3rd-8th grades. This league was created to provide a healthy basketball environment with the objective of developing basic basketball skills while providing the opportunity for all players to participate equally in a team atmosphere. This in-house recreational basketball league will consist of park district teams from the following towns: Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, Itasca, Medinah, and Wood Dale. It is the goal of the league to promote an atmosphere of fun, teamwork, and good sportsmanship as the players learn basic skills and improve on existing ones. No online registration. Special registration form required. (TG)
