A collection of projects I have worked on over the years, that include not only projects that have research analyses done but also personal art projects that span various mediums.

Louvres

The upper facade contains 3 different louvre systems based on the facade direction and the sun

Green Roof/ Cistern

Passive system that collects rain water and stores/recycles it for future purposes; cistern at the top of the building allows for a passive irrigation system because of gravity

SummerSun

Natural Daylight Curtain wall system allows for natural light to enter building and conserve energy

Solar Panels

Facing south to generate more electricity actively throughout the building

01 Analysis on Sustainable Strategies

A project titled, The NZDC Headquarters, was a project completed during my final studio. The project is located in Coulmbia Heights, D.C. and its main function was to educate the local community on sustainable strategies and to operate as an office space for an organization, called Net Zero DC. This project aimed to create a long-lasting impression of what sustainability could look like as buildings strive to achieve net zero energy usage, hence the name NZDC.

Electrochromic Windows

Located on the lower facade the windows tint depending on the location of the sun; reduces thermal energy and glares

WinterSun

Trees

Reduces surface areas by povidings shading

Natural Ventilation

Wide opening on the side of the building and a void in the center of the building allow for air to travel naturally

Project: Plants through Watercolor

This project uses water color to create a simplistic visual of plants in a solitary space.
