NIS Celebrates UAE National Day Our entire NIS community came together to mark UAE National Day. Our families enjoyed the various student performances, interactive games, and activities. They also got to enjoy traditional local food and learned more about Emirati culture.

Thank you to our Arabic Department for helping our students prepare for their wonderful performances. We would also like to thank our families for joining us in our UAE National Day Celebration.

NIS Welcomes Newest National Honors Society (NHS) Chapter We recently held our National Honors Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony to formally introduce the members for the 2023 - 2024 academic year. We are happy to announce that we have 19 members this academic year, which is a testament to our commitment to promote leadership and success amongst our Secondary students.

The National Honors Society (NHS) is one of the oldest and largest co-curricular organizations around the world.

It operates in many American schools in United States and across various countries to recognize students who demonstrate leadership, strong academics, service, and character.

NIS Lower Elementary Department Hosts Parent Workshop about Importance of Reading and Writing We would like to thank our Parents who attended our most recent Parent Academy workshop. The workshop entitled “Understanding the Importance of Reading and Writing” was hosted by our KG2 Teacher, Ms. Honey Sho, and Assistant Head of Lower Elementary (KG), Ms. Louise Allen.

The workshop focused on different strategies parents could use to help students practice reading and writing effectively. By the end of the session, our parents were motivated and had good things to say.

“Thank you for the workshop. I’ve learned great and useful strategies to help my child at home,” Ms. Asymbekova, a parent of one of our KG student, shared.

NIS Holds University Fair for High School Students Choosing a course of study and the university you want to complete it at, is one of the most important decisions a student has to make. To guide our high school students with their choices, NIS hosted a University Fair featuring 26 Universities and Colleges.

Through this fair, our students were able to gain valuable insight into what to consider when choosing the right course and University for undergraduate studies.

We would like to thank all the universities who joined us for this year’s NIS University Fair.

Read Aloud to celebrate World Children’s Day As part of World Children’s Day celebrations, NIS collaborated with RSM Dahman to host a Read Aloud activity for students.

Thirteen readers visited our classrooms to read stories to our students. This activity is a reflection of the school’s commitment to developing a love for reading across and beyond the curriculum.

NIS Admissions Office Open in Winter Break We are now accepting admissions for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year!

Our Admissions Office will be open during the Winter break from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday.

If you have friends who are looking for a school for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year, our Admissions Team will be more than happy to assist them.
