ANNOUNCEMENT NIS Padel Courts Now Open

Celebrating the Class of 2023 The Senior Walk at NIS is a tradition for every graduating class. It is an opportunity for us to celebrate our graduates' accomplishments and send them off as they move on to a new chapter in their lives.

It was a bittersweet day for our Seniors as their parents and relatives waited outside the school building to surprise them on their last full day in school.

Thank you to our teachers and the entire school community for making this year's Senior Walk a memorable event to remember.

We wish all our Seniors success and we thank them for making Nibras International School their home and everyone in school their family.

We are pleased to announce that our Padel Courts are officially open! We are happy to share that the special offer for our school community to book the courts has been extended! Any member of our community can book one of the four courts at a special rate of AED 60 per hour per court until June 30th.

Eid Donation Drive 2023 by the NIS National Honor Society Our students that are part of our National Honor Society (NHS) group distributed the care packs they collected from their Eid Donation Drive to the school's support staff.

We would like to thank our students and their families for bringing in the essential items needed for the donation drive. This is a testament to how Nibras promotes the TORCH (Tolerant, Organized, Respectful, Caring, Honest) in the community.

NIS has received the prestigious National Honor Society (NHS) affiliate status based on the school's commitment to student and community affairs. NHS is an internationally recognized organization established to recognize outstanding high school students and celebrate their achievements.

High School Student Council's Eid Initiative We would like to thank everyone who supported the High School Student Council's Eid Initiative.

After weeks of collecting donations, Ms. Romana Farhat's Grade One class donated the most towards the campaign.

Together with the student council members, they presented the Eid envelopes to the maintenance staff, cleaners, drivers and security staff.

NIS Students Win in Holy Quran Competition at Sheffield Private School At NIS, we love to celebrate the success of our students. We are very proud when they excel in activities that nurture language development and the understanding of various cultures.

We would like to congratulate Bilal A. (Grade 9) and Omar Mohamed I. (Grade 10) for their outstanding performance in the Holy Quran Competition at the Sheffield Private School.

Omar was awarded the bronze medal, while Bilal got the gold medal.

Recognizing the ISP Arabic Spelling Bee Competition Winners Every year, NIS participates in the International Schools Partnership (ISP) Arabic Spelling Bee competition which aims to promote the beauty of the Arabic language. The ISP Spelling Bee allows our students to compete with students from other ISP schools in the Middle East.

After a competitive regional round in 2022 - 2023, we would like to congratulate Zainab A. (Grade 1) and Abdulhadi I. (Grade 5) for placing first in their respective year group division.

STEM Challenge at Curtin University We would like to congratulate the following Grade 9 students for their participation in the STEM Challenge at Curtin University Dubai: Farangizhon S. Aisha H. Nijar A. Saeed S. Tomas O. For the challenge, each school needs to form a team of five students and compete against teams from other schools. Their knowledge about Science was put to a test as they had to answer questions and solve problems.

The STEM Challenge was a good way for our students to practice what they have been learning in their Science classes and to meet other students as well.

Grade 5 Morning Assembly: Cultivating Healthy Friendships Our Grade 5 students had a morning session with Ms. Amena Saleem, the school's pastoral counselor, to discuss cultivating healthy friendships.

Through role play, the students understood the differences between unhealthy and healthy boundaries in friendship, and the important role healthy friendships play in improving mental health.

At NIS, we value the wellbeing and health of our students. We believe that if students are mentally and emotionally healthy, they will learn and perform better in school.

We are grateful for the overwhelming response for re-enrolment and we are pleased to see so many families express their intention to return to NIS next school year.

As we open our school to new families for 2023 - 2024, we want to ensure that we give priority to our current students and their families.

In order to confirm your child's place for the next academic year, we encourage families to complete the re-registration process by paying the re-enrolment fee of AED 1550 to be deducted from the first tuition fee installment.

Morning Assembly with Dubai Police - Jebel Ali We would like to thank the Dubai Police officers from the Jebel Ali station for visiting our school.

During the assembly, they spoke to our Middle School students about a variety of topics including bullying and importance of showing respect.

At Nibras International School, we not only value the partnerships we have formed with key authorities, but discussing subjects like this is important to the wellbeing of our entire community.

Tickets Now On Sale: NIS 2023 Spring Concert and Art & Technology Exhibition The NIS Music Department, in partnership with the Art and Technology Departments, are pleased to announce the premiere of “I Dreamed A Dream,” - the 2023 Spring Concert and Art and Technology Exhibition for Nibras International School taking place on June 7, 2023 in the EIBFS Auditorium, Academic City.

This event is an opportunity for our students to showcase their work and the performances they have been working on for weeks.

We welcome families and the community to come and join us for a day of celebrating arts, music and technology.

The ticket price is 70 AED per person. There will be discounts for purchases of two or more tickets. All proceeds will be used to assist with the cost of the event.

Tickets are still on sale from the school's reception area.

Admissions Open Events for June 2023 Admissions are open for the 2023 - 2024 academic year!

Introduce your friends and family into our wonderful NIS community and save on your child’s tuition fee.

Our NIS Admissions Office is happy to welcome your friends and families to visit our campus during our Admissions Open Events for June 2023.

During their visit, they will have the opportunity to: Explore our campus Meet our Admissions Team Learn about how we deliver the American curriculum through an inquiry-based approach and the student's role in the learning process Make sure they register their attendance for one of our Open Days in June 2023 here.

May 2023 Highlights

High School Field Day Our PE Department planned a Sports Tournament for our high school students. The students were put into different teams and competed against each other in a variety of sports like football, basketball, volleyball and tug of war.

Learning is Fun at KG Arabic In Arabic KG class, our KG students learned about the Arabic alphabet and the sounds they make, through creative and interactive activities that their teacher prepared.

Assembly about being Grateful Ms. Nastasha's Grade 2 class hosted an assembly where they discussed the importance of being thankful. The students were asked to think about the things they should be grateful for and shared how being thankful is a wonderful trait for everyone to have. They ended the assembly with a song.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle As part of their activity in the STEM Club about "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle," students were asked to turn synthetic materials into eco-friendly crafts.

Students used their creativity and turned plastic straws, a synthetic material that can harm our environment, into something beautiful and useful such as vases, home decorations and bags.
