Dear Parents, Welcome to the Hamilton International School, After School Activities (ASA) program. ASA’s are an integral part of the a child’s education where they are able to indulge in their passions, develop their purpose and realize their potential. Confidence is such an important part of student well-being and ASA’s help to build this. They not only establish great relationships with their peers, coaches and mentors, but learn resilience to overcome challenges and to celebrate the successes of not only themselves but their peers. Every student who takes part in ASAs flourish as individuals through leadership opportunities, skill building, and working in teams. I look forward with interest to see the many successes your child will have as they embark on After School Activities program at The Hamilton International School.

Dear Parents,
I feel very privileged to lead the After School Activities (ASA) at The Hamilton International school. It has been an unusual year for many reasons and we have had some interruptions on delivering the program due to the Covid-19 restrictions; but with the start of the new term, we are committing to deliver a successful program that will enhance the students exposure to new topics, will develop their social skills and will help them discover their passion. After school Activities (ASA) programs are not school and shouldn’t feel like school or homework. They are activities where children can act freely and more open, allowing to be themselves and easily meet other like-minded children. Having your child enrolled in one of these programs will give them the opportunity to express and practice their social skills, socialize and build confidence. Afterschool programs can be fun but at the same time can support social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development, reduce risky behaviors, promote physical health, and provide a safe and supportive environment for children.
Us, as The Hamilton International School we make sure that we are offering a variety of essential programs necessary for the development of your children, such as : swimming, football, lego & robotics, coding, music instruments etc. There’s an after-school activity for your child, no matter their age or background. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every student, parent, caregiver, teacher, and member of support staff who have patient and have contributed to make the After School Activities becoming a successful department. It is most rewarding to be part of a school that has a real sense of being a community, and that is something that has characterized every part of my interactions with parents, students, and all our members this year.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY IS OUR PRIORITY!
REGULATING ENTRY AND EXIT : All persons entering the premises must adhere to the following strict guidelines and regulations regarding the preventive measures taken to prevent the spread of the COVID – 19 virus.
Access to the school campus will be through Gate #5 only. Participants and parents are required to wear medical face mask for the whole duration inside the school campus. By Presenting Ehteraz App at the security gate, the participants and parents will be allowed in the school premises. Participants are obligated to provide all the personal information such as QID number and full name in order to access the facilities. Drop off location for the participants will be at the main entrance of the Recreation Center. Only participants will be allowed inside the Recreation Hall Center and parents of children bellow the age of 6 years. At the end of the activities, the participants will be picked up outside the main entrance of the Recreation Center. Social distancing should be respected while waiting. PHYSICAL DISTANCING: A safe distance of minimum 1.5 meters should be maintained between people at all the time. Hand sanitizers will be available at each Facility. All participants must disinfect their hands while accessing the facilities and every 30 minutes.
INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL: • Medical masks must be worn by all visitors inside the Recreation Center . The only exclusion will be when participants are having the class / training itself. In such cases strict social distancing will be implemented and monitored strictly by the coaches. • Hand sanitizers will be placed at multiple locations throughout the Recreation Center. All participants must disinfect their hands every 30 minutes. • Participants are advised to avoid touching surfaces and their nose, eyes, or mouth. • Participants must avoid physical contact e.g.: hugging, handshakes, etc. • Cleaning and disinfection of sports equipment will be performed after each activity by the staff in charge. • Participants should only use their drinking bottles and they cannot share their own bottles with others. REQUIRED LIST OF ITEMS FOR ALL ACTIVITIES: • Comfortable shorts, T-shirts, socks and running shoes • Cap for outdoor activities • Medical Masks • Water bottle • Hand sanitizer (preferable) EQUIPMENT All the required equipment for the activities will be provided at the venue. Equipment will be sprayed and disinfected after each activity. Equipment will include: • Balls • Cones etc. AT END OF ACTIVITY: • Participants must use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer after completing each activity. WE HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND THE GUIDLINES AND AGREE TO COMPLY WITH ALL LISTED REGULATIONS.
