MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM Dear Parents, It brings me so much joy to see the students back in school, getting better and enjoying learning. We have such an amazing vision: Igniting, Passion, Purpose and Potential, and although we have faced the challenges of the pandemic it is now time to see our school open up to all the opportunities that lay ahead. To that end, I would like to draw your attention to the upcoming ‘International Student Day’. This is a very special event where our students, teachers and parents dress in clothing that represents their home country and share their traditional dishes of food. We will have stalls, activities, and a big parade. The class teachers will be in contact so you can be involved in the day. Please put a circle around, ThursdayMarch 31st in your diaries for the International Student Day at Hamilton. I wanted to personally thank everyone who contributed to the ‘Book Day’ where almost all our students across the school dressed as a book character. It was fabulous seeing our teachers dress up well, which contributes to the positive engaging atmosphere in our school. If you are going away for the mid-term break, safe travels, and if you are staying home, I do hope you can rest and enjoy time with your children. To a child love is spelt; T-I-M-E. Early Years
At The Hamilton International School learning is fun and engaging. Our Pre-KG students had the most incredible time as they started learning about " Ocean Treasures." They took part in an amazing splash day exploring the new topic through water and bubble activities. For each of them, it was a day they will not forget soon!

Have you wondered what you might find under the sea? Our KG1 students took part in sensory learning and looked at a variety of ways that they could learn about the ocean. These hands on activities were part of the entry point for their new topic "The Ocean Treasures."

Primary
Arrrr!!! KG2 have started a new unit in IPC called "Treasure Island". For this Entry point, students have had a wonderful time dressing up as Pirates from Treasure Island. They engaged in numberous activities which included learning about parrots and creating treasure maps with tea bags. At The Hamilton International School we create memorable learning experiences by ensuring our students take part in engaging, creative and fun lessons.

Grade 1 have finished off their unit in IPC called "Buildings". This exit point included four different building zones. Our students demonstrated what they learned in this topic by working in small groups to complete speedbuilding challenges like using pool noodles and sticks to build good structure, and building a paper skyscrapers. It was amazing to see all their knowledge on display and how much they learned about building concepts. Amazing work, Grade 1.

At The Hamilton International School, we strive to nurture students that are environmentally conscious, global citizens. This understanding of the world and our role in it can be seen within our Primary School students. Our Grade 3 students have started learning about their new IPC topic "Saving The World." As part of this, they created a wonderful rainforest complete with tree, vines, and many animals. They immersed themselves in the rainforest and recorded the observations of what they saw, heard and smelt. However, our students also learned that rainforests are currently being destroyed at an alarming rate. They were able to witness this destruction first hand, as all their hard work was ruined in an instant. They are now working on understanding the reasons behind this destruction and what they can do to stop it.

We know that student recognition does wonders for a child's morale and enthusiasm towards school work. In Grade 3 LH, our students are rewarded with a "Positive Peg"every time they display great quality. They all display their pegs proudly! We are proud of all of you.

Secondary
In Social Studies, our students in Grade 6 are learning about Ancient Rome. One of the things that the vast Empire is most famous for is its disciplined and victorious army. To get the students to understand how the strategy and discipline of the soldiers helped them making victorious, we took to the field. the students had an amazing learning experience as they outwit their opponents, as they used foam balls instead of spears, and mats instead of shields when they went into battle.

Hola! cómo estás? We understand the importance of being multilingual, and that is why our students are encouraged to learn multiple languages. Recently in Spanish class our Grade 7 students were tasked with designing Spanish Brochures for a travel agency.

Inclusion At The Hamilton International School we believe that being physically active every day, is important in keeping our students healthy and motivated. As part of our Inclusion program our students are getting prepared for sports day. Each student has been working hard to make sure they understand and follow the rules of a race. Great job to all of them!
Saturday Morning Fun Club The inclusion department launched a new club called Saturday Morning Fun Club, students sign in to come every week and play in order to develop their social and communication skills. In the first session, the students got an opportunity to interact with their friends in the Hub through structured social play. It was a great learning experience for all.

PE
Team building activities is an important aspect of a child's development. The PE department at our school have started inter-school competitions during lunch time. Recently, Grade 1, 2 and 3 students had the most incredible time competing with their friends in a Bench Ball game, Capture the flag game, and a variety of races.

Hot Chocolate Thursday Hot Chocolate Thursday is back, and Mr. Senior is so happy to share a cup of coco with the students. Congratulations to the students that were recognized and asked to be part of this weekly event. We love seeing all your smiling faces back to school.

World Book Day At The Hamilton International School we encourage students to read everyday to expand their vocabulary and imagination. To celebrate World Book Day, students and staff came to school dressed up as their favorite book characters. They created a wonderful world of creativity and had a very exciting day doing lots of activities.

Our Secondary students are ready and excited for the new ISP programs. Recently, they have been attending meetings and webinars for the launch of the new programs.

ISP Arabic Spelling Bee Hamilton students from our Primary and Secondary Schools were excited to participate in the first ISP Arabic Spelling Bee, which aimed to celebrate the beauty of the Arabic language and encourage our students to practice their spelling skills. Our students enjoyed taking part in the competition and we are proud of their amazing performances.
