What's new? 9th Qatar International Mental Health Conference The Qatar International Mental Health Conference held last week brought together mental health professionals, educators, and policymakers from around the world to discuss the latest developments in mental health research and advocacy. Among the distinguished speakers was our Principal, Mr Terry Senior, who shared his insights and our school’s experiences promoting mental health awareness among students, staff and the wider community. In his keynote address, Mr. Senior highlighted the importance of early intervention and prevention in addressing mental health issues in our school community. He emphasized the measures we take as a school to provide a safe and supportive environment that fosters resilience, self-esteem, and positive relationships. He also stressed the role of teachers, pastoral leaders, school counsellor and parents in recognizing and responding to signs of distress and the campaigns we do to raise awareness. "No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care," said Mr. Senior. "By creating a culture of care and compassion, we help students develop the skills and attitudes they need to cope with the challenges of life and build a brighter future."
