Grade 5 Graduation The Grade 5 graduation marked the culmination of an incredible year for the students, leaving a lasting impression on all in attendance. The event was a true showcase of their hard work and dedication, with exceptional singing performances that mesmerized the audience. From solos to harmonious group numbers, their voices resonated with passion and talent, captivating everyone in the theatre.

Adding to the spectacle, a captivating dance performance choreographed by the Arabic department took centre stage, demonstrating the students' impressive coordination and skill. Their energetic moves and synchronized routines filled the air with an infectious energy, leaving the audience in awe.

The graduation also provided an opportunity for the students to express themselves through heartfelt poetry readings. Their words carried emotions that touched the hearts of everyone present. As each student took their turn at the microphone, their eloquence and vulnerability shone through, creating a poignant and memorable experience.

Amidst the cheers and applause, the teachers took a moment to share their kind words of encouragement and pride. Their support and guidance were evident in the students' growth and accomplishments. The heartfelt farewell speeches underscored the strong bond formed between the teachers and students throughout the year.

The theatre was filled with the proud presence of parents, who filled the seats with excitement and anticipation. Their unwavering support and love created a warm and supportive atmosphere, reinforcing the significance of this milestone in the students' lives. The graduation was a memorable celebration of the students' achievements, talents, and the journey they undertook together.

The Grade 5 graduation encapsulated the essence of a remarkable year, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all involved. It was a fitting conclusion to their primary school journey, reminding everyone of the students' growth, resilience, and the bright futures that lie ahead.

What's on in Hamilton Early Years Picnic This year, one of the children in Early Years asked for a pyjama day and Teddy Bear’s Picnic and we thought that would be a fantastic way to put this academic year to bed. Many parents were able to join us in this celebration the children and we would like to thank families for their support, throughout the year.

The children looked fantastic, and very cozy, in their pyjamas and were very happy to share picnic food with their grownups and their classmates. Each class received a huge round of applause for all of the effort that they have given to their learning this year and to all that they have achieved. We are all immensely proud of our youngest learners and wish them all a lovely summer and an amazing year for when they return.

Grade 1 Exit Point The final Exit Point for Grade 1 was "Hooray, Let’s Go on Holiday!" Students spent 6 weeks learning about the world around us and all the amazing places to be seen. Students chose one holiday destination to research, plan, and design a variety of items that would be used to persuade parents to visit. They also brought in an at-home project (such as food, posters, drums, etc.) to help further supplement their learning! Students had a blast trying to talk parents into their perfect holiday destinations, and parents were able to let them know if they were successful at persuading them to holiday there, by receiving a golden star!

What's on in Hamilton Week Without Walls We are delighted to share with you the highlights of our recent "Week Without Walls" program at our school. This unique initiative aimed to offer students educational opportunities beyond the confines of our regular curriculum. Let's delve into the exciting activities that unfolded during this eventful week.

The students had an amazing time participating in a variety of engaging activities. One of the popular activities was Phone Photography and Movie Making, where students learned valuable skills. They were taught photography techniques, as well as editing and manipulation skills, resulting in some impressive images and short films.

Another thrilling activity was our school's rendition of the popular reality TV show, Shark Tank. Working in teams, students displayed their innovative prowess by designing and pitching their inventions. Their creativity and entrepreneurial skills were assessed by a panel of "sharks," resulting in an exhilarating experience for all.

In the Cooking activity, students not only acquired knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety but also learned various recipes and practical culinary skills. This combination of education and deliciousness left a lasting impression on everyone involved.

The Upcycled Wall Art project allowed students to unleash their creativity by designing and constructing unique wall art pieces using recycled materials. The selected artworks will be displayed in the secondary school, adding a touch of artistic flair.

Debating sessions provided a platform for students to engage in discussions and debates on global issues. Modeled after the United Nations structure, this activity allowed students to deepen their understanding of conflicts, crises, and sustainability. It also honed their debate skills, enabling them to express their opinions and viewpoints effectively.

Drama enthusiasts were thrilled to spend extended time in the theater.

They received guidance on various aspects of theater, including acting techniques and stage presence.

The students also had the opportunity to embark on exciting trips. They visited 3-2-1 Museum and the National Museum, where they immersed themselves in art, culture, and history. Additionally, a fun-filled visit to Megapolis provided opportunities for bowling, arcade games and karaoke.

Community service played a vital role in the students' experiences. They participated in events such as career presentations by parents, a Paws Rescue presentation, and teen teaching. These experiences allowed them to contribute to their community while learning valuable lessons about empathy, compassion and giving back.

Sports activities were included in the week's events as well. Students engaged in a sports carousel, rotating through various challenges. They also showcased their skills and team spirit in sports competitions, including ultimate frisbee, bench ball, and table tennis.

Overall, Week Without Walls offered our students meaningful educational opportunities by encouraging their creativity, collaboration, and the pursuit of their passions.

Hub End of Year Celebration The Hamilton Hub and Early Intervention had an End of Year Performance. All pupils involved worked extremely hard to practice their classes piece as a group. Parents came along to enjoy the show and had a picnic with their child’s class after. It was such a lovely event and so nice to see all the Hamilton Hub and Early Intervention Parents come together for a wonderful end of year celebration!

Student Council Corner A Year of Active Support and Valuable Contributions As we wrap up another eventful academic year, it is essential to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of the dedicated members of our student council. These individuals have consistently demonstrated their commitment, reliability, and unwavering support throughout the year, making a significant impact on our school community.

The student council members actively contributed to a multitude of events and initiatives, offering valuable ideas that enriched our school's environment. Their presence was felt in every meeting, where they consistently shared insightful suggestions and actively participated in decision-making processes.

These outstanding students were actively engaged as volunteers in every school event, leaving no stone unturned. From assisting in organising the memorable Week Without Walls to preparing for International Day, Cancer Day, and many other activities, they worked tirelessly to make these events a resounding success. Their enthusiasm and dedication were evident in every endeavor they undertook.

Moreover, the student council members exemplified the qualities of reliability and punctuality. They consistently attended meetings, ensuring that their voices were heard and contributing to important discussions that shaped our school's direction. Their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities served as an inspiration to their peers and showcased their true leadership potential.

Today, we take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to the student council members for their exemplary service and invaluable contributions throughout the year. We are delighted to announce, for the fourth year, The Hamilton Principal’s Award. The award recognizes a current student (Grade 5 to Grade 10) who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and provides them with a scholarship of 50% of their tuition fees.

The successful applicant will: Exhibit exceptional academic progress (getting better) Have positively contributed to the school community.

Provide a personal statement.

Provide evidence of progress from their teacher.
