What's New? Hamilton Production Dear Parents and Guardians, We are delighted to extend a warm invitation to you, your family, and friends for our upcoming school production, Matilda JR. This collaborative masterpiece features the talented students from our Performing Arts Department, who came under the direction of Ms. Hughes, The Doha Players, and amazing Hamilton Parents. Matilda JR. is a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! The story revolves around Matilda, a girl with astonishing wit, intelligence, and unique talents. Unloved by her cruel parents, Matilda impresses her schoolteacher, the highly lovable Miss Honey. As she navigates the challenges of her school life, Matilda faces the mean-spirited headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, who despises children. The narrative unfolds with courage, cleverness, and a delightful touch of humor, making it a captivating experience for all. This joyous girl power romp is packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs that will leave both children and adults thrilled. What Happened in Hamilton KG2 Entry Point For KG2 class unit on 'Superhumans', students carried out a 'Senses Exploration' to explore the senses and their associated body parts. They children used their sense of smell, taste, touch, hearing and sight.
Grade 2 Exit Point The KG2 students took charge of their learning by putting their investigation and creative work on show for parents. Classes were converted to laboratories, filled with interactive activity covering the many topics that Grade 2 have learnt about in their IPC topic. Children had a chance to become teachers themselves by explaining to their parents how and why they completed these activities. Grade 5 Exit Point At the Grade 5 “Look, Hear” Exit Point, students showcased their collaborative efforts by organising a captivating Sight and Sound Exhibition. Parents were enthusiastically welcomed to participate in a series of interactive experiments exploring various concepts such as how light travels, how sound travels through different mediums and light refraction. Engaging in hands-on activities, parents had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the scientific process, conducting experiments alongside their children. The event culminated in a quiz where parents could put their newfound knowledge to the test. Overall, the Grade 5 “Look, Hear” Exit Point provided an enriching and memorable experience for students and parents alike, highlighting the importance of collaborative learning and scientific exploration.
What Happened in Hamilton Secondary Students Assembly The grade 11 students took the lead in a heartfelt assembly dedicated to cancer awareness. On the occasion of Cancer Awareness Day, the students seized the opportunity to educate their peers about the biological underpinnings of the illness, its general symptoms, and different treatments. The assembly featured stirring accounts of inspirational individuals who have not only battled cancer but have also made remarkable contributions to their communities. The students eloquently delivered their messages of hope and empowerment, highlighting the significance of unity in the fight against cancer. Their assembly served as a poignant reminder that, together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this illness.
G10 - Crepes Our Grade 10 students recently engaged in a delightful celebration of “La Chandeleur”, a cherished French tradition centered around the making and enjoyment of crêpes. They learned how to prepare crepes as a highlight of their study unit on global celebrations. The activity provided an immersive and enjoyable experience.
Student Spotlight Our amazing student Taylen in Grade 10 was recruited as ball crew for the Asian Cup. He was stationed at Al Janoub Stadium and was part of the crew for 4 games and this included the semi-Final between Qatar and Iran.

Mr. Chris Allan IB Coordinator Mr. Allen has a vast experience of education in the UK and Middle East. He is an experienced IB Leader with a range of experience in two IB World Schools. Mr. Allen has taught IBDP History, Global Politics, TOK and Extended Essay Supervisor. He has led as a Head of IB Humanities, TOK Coordinator and Director of Learning. Mr. Allen has examined and developed content for IB Group 3 Subjects and TOK. He is passionate about developing the next generation. Mr. Allen holds an MA in Education & International Development from UCL. He is an advocate of the IB Learner Profile seeking to develop resilient young people that are risk takers, principled and caring.
Important Announcement Lanyards To support the safety of our children at school, one of the key safeguarding measures we take at Hamilton is issuing a lanyard to all parents, visitors, contractors and staff members.

White - Visitor
Parents and guardians will require their red lanyard to enter the school building, otherwise, they will be directed by the facilities/security team to reception to present their QID and get a temporary lanyard. This takes time and will no doubt be frustrating, so please we ask you to have your lanyard at all times. Each family gets two lanyards, an additional lanyard or a replacement will cost 50QR.
