What's new? Grade 5 Exit Point The Grade 5 Exit Point event, "Mission to Mars," was a resounding success, showcasing the students' remarkable journey of learning. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as our young explorers presented their creative Mars Rovers and engaged their parents through insightful videos exploring the prospect of humans living on Mars. The students demonstrated impressive communication, cooperation, and resilience skills which developed over the course of this project. We extend our gratitude for your ongoing support in fostering the growth and exploration of our amazing students in Grade 5.

What's happening in the upcoming week 15th December - 7th January Winter Break Monday, 8th December First Day back to school

What happened in Hamilton Pre-KG Exit Point Our PreK students just completed the unit 'Once Upon a Time' which was about story telling and retelling familiar stories. Students learned about story characters and repetitive dialogue in the stories. They dressed up as characters and retold the stories using role play and puppets. Children especially enjoyed the story of The Tortoise and the Hare, so we chose to take part in some fun races for our exit point, just like in the story.

KG1 Exit Point Our KG1 students held their exit point to showcase their learning on our topic ‘Our Community’. They sang songs linked to our learning about people who help us and how to keep ourselves safe. Then students demonstrated to our parents how they have developed their fine motor skills to support their early writing over this unit of learning. They all had fun with ‘squiggle while you wiggle’ learning a dance with the prewriting shapes that they then turned into a picture! They also demonstrated their Disco Dough to support building their hand and finger strength.

What happened in Hamilton Soul for Music The harmonious echoes of our musical endeavors continue at Hamilton School! Teaming up with Soul for Music, we're thrilled to announce our latest venture into the world of piano mastery. Under the skilled guidance of Soul for Music instructors, our students have concluded a mesmerizing exploration of piano intricacies. The recently completed project showcased incredible talent, weaving unique piano melodies that resonated throughout our school. The excitement reaches its peak as we transition to the Natural Project! As the piano keys come to life, we're also thrilled to announce the commencement of our Vocal Course after the winter break. So, warm up those vocal cords, dear students, because another set of strings is about to be played – the strings of your voices!

G5 Trip Grade 5 students visited the Museum of Illusions as part of their new IPC topic, Look Hear. Throughout the day, students took part in a range of activities aimed at exploring sight and sound. Students actively participated in understanding how sound travels and how light enables us to see. The interactive exhibits sparked curiosity and encouraged critical thinking as the students discussed the science behind the mind-bending illusions. The Knowledge Harvest session was a perfect way to consolidate their learning. Students had the opportunity to reflect on and share their newfound knowledge, reinforcing key concepts related to sight, sound.
