What's new? Families returned to The Hamilton International School on Sunday, to mark the start of the 2023 - 2024 Academic Year. The principal, teachers and staff welcomed both students and parents. The entire community was buzzing and happy to be together again after the eight weeks of Summer Break. Students were eager to begin the new academic year. “We embark on this journey together and we invite all our stakeholders to actively engage in school life. We’d like to thank parents for entrusting Hamilton with the education and well-being of their children. We look forward to a year of growth, exploration, and shared successes.”- Terry Senior

What happened in Hamilton Secondary - Team Building Workshop One of the activities that were hosted for secondary students on the first day of school was Balloon Skyscraper. Secondary students were assigned a mission to build the highest tower possible using balloons and only one tape for each team. This activity aims at developing the student's team spirit and passion for collaboration amongst each other. Students have done an amazing job displaying strategic and creative thinking skills to compete for the best balloon skyscraper.
Primary & Inclusion Curriculum Evening Recently, The Primary and Inclusion departments hosted a curriculum evening for the new and current parents. Parents attended curriculum orientations led by the homeroom teachers and the Head of Primary Mr. Rinaldi. The orientations included information about the curriculum, school day, and the topics that will be covered during the Academic Year 2023-2024.
What happened in Hamilton Hot Chocolate Thursday! Hot Chocolate Thursday is back! Every Thursday, we celebrate our star students in each year group. We recognize them for their outstanding progress and for exhibiting the Hamilton Values. They get to have Hot Chocolate with our Principal Mr. Senior.
Important Announcements Meet the Homeroom Teacher Dear Parents and guardians, We hope that you have found the beginning of this academic year as enjoyable and positive as we have. Our returning staff and new staff have collaborated to create an orientation day on our first day of school. Yesterday, students began their first day of lessons and it has been wonderful to welcome our students – both returning and new – to Hamilton. In order to connect parents to our teachers we would like to invite you to our ‘Meet the Homeroom Teacher’ event on Sunday 3rd September from 2pm – 3:15pm. You will receive a welcome message from Mrs. Gough, the Head of Secondary, before going to your child’s Homeroom Classroom. The Homeroom Teacher will talk you through key information about the upcoming year and how we can work together to support your child’s learning. You may park through gate two, collect your child(ren) then go directly to the MultiPurpose Hall (MPH), which is on the second floor; your children will be able to direct you there. If you would like to attend this event, please fill in the confirmation slip below and return this letter with your son or daughter to their Homeroom Teacher no later than Thursday 31st August. Important Announcements As a new season approaches, Qatar Debate team are excited to provide new opportunities for students here at Qatar Debate. For Qatari students: They have the Team Qatar program. The national team will travel to Belgrade next summer and they are looking for new recruits. Please encourage any and all of the Qatari students 12-18 to sign up for the program at the following link: https://qatardebate.org/event/team-qatar/. The last 3 years have been tremendously successful years for the national team, and they have made both the nation and the schools they represented, very proud. For International students: They are opening The Debate Academy! Students will get access to weekly personalized training for a full semester. This should help them to be fully prepared for the upcoming debate tournaments. Students may apply for a fee waiver if needed.
