LOGO DESIGN CONTEST

As part of the celebration for the club’s 50th Anniversary, the management launched a Logo Design Contest. Members and employees were invited to send their entries which must be relevant to the club’s 50th anniversary. Out of 42 entries, one entry from member Mr. Michael Ngu emerged as the grand winner. The winning logo will be used and will be printed in all souvenir items for the club’s golden anniversary

INVESTMENT CLIMATE OUTLOOK: ARE WE OUT OF THE WOODS?

Mr Jonathan Ravelas, CTA, Senior Adviser, Reyes Tacandong and Company, delivered a talk entitled “Investment Climate Outlook: Are We Out of the Woods?” on September 12, 2024 at the Zobel Dining Room

Members as well guests listened and were given tips on the current investment trend.

Another Wellness Talk entitled “Usapang Lalake” was held last October 11, 2024, 1:30 pm, at the Zobel Dining Room.

The talk focused on prostate problems and its adverse effects on men if left untreated. Resource Speaker, Dr Jaime SD Songco, MD, a renowned Urologic Oncologist, answered the attendees’ questions about symptoms and possible preventions and solutions for prostate illnesses

WHY PSEi?

TALKS

Managing Director and Head of Research, Philippine Equity Partners, Mr Jojo Gonzales, conducted a talk entitled “Why PSEi?” on October 24, 2024, at the Zobel Dining Room

Mr. Gonzales expounded thoroughly the stock market and the right stocks to purchase He also discussed the current political trend and its possible effects on the stock market

CREATING YOUR LONG TERM INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO

The final Financial Talk for the year was held on November 5, 2024 at the Zobel Dining Room with BDO Trust and Investment Group’s Chief Investment Officer, Mr Fritz Ocampo, as the Resource Speaker

The talk “Creating your Long Term Investment Portfolio” explicated the possible ways to grow your money and the significance of saving and investing through the years.

DATE NIGHT’S BIG NIGHT

Members and guests enjoyed a night of dancing and grooving as the club organized the Date Night’s Big Night, another dancing event, on September 13, 2024 at the Ayala Banquet Hall.

Members and guests gathered for the club’s annual Beerfest Celebration last October 18, 2024 at the Ayala Banquet Hall

Much to the audience’s delight, the Sound Salad Band performed variety of songs from the yesteryears to contemporary upbeat music. Attendees were also treated to free flowing beer and unlimited bar chow.

Kids were treated to a fun-filled Halloween on October 26, 2024. Booths sponsored by the different committees were set-up to give delicious goodies to children. The kids who donned Halloween costumes for the event received cash prizes for their effort and creativity

The Board of Directors led by the Club President, Atty Jun Virtudazo, together with the Management Team hosted a Thanksgiving Cocktails for all members and their spouses on January 27, 2025 at the Ayala Banquet Hall

This event is being held annually to show gratitude to all the members who supported and who have been supporting the club throughout the years

CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

The club celebrated the Chinese New Year on January 30, 2025 at the Zobel Dining Room and was well-attended by members and guests. Scrumptious Chinese dishes were served and free tikoy was given to those who partook in the celebration

VALENTINE’S DINNER CONCERT

A very successful Valentine’s Concert was held last February 14, 2025 at the Ayala Banquet Hall as the Music Making Company enchanted the attendees with their amazing performance

Members and guests were in awe and danced to the beat of lively music. Much to the audience pleasure, the band performed songs from the yesteryears which made the event nostalgic and more enjoyable.

MEET AND GREET WITH SANTA CLAUS

Kids and kids at heart were delighted to meet and greet Santa Claus on December 8 and 14, 2024. Cookies and chocolates were given to those who took a photo with Santa.

CAROL OF THE BELLS

December 13, 2024

It was an idyllic night filled with music, joy, and holiday cheer as the Lighter Side Movement Choir and Musica Sacra Orchestra serenaded the audience on December 13 with their mellifluous voices and amazing musical numbers

The crowd was in awe as they witnessed the choir and the orchestra gave a breathtaking performance which captured the hearts of all the attendees

INDUCTION CEREMONY OF NEW MEMBERS

Assignees, corporate representatives, and individual and life members were inducted on October 18, 2024 and January 17, 2025 at the Zobel Dining Room.

Membership Committee Chairwoman, Ms Jennifer Cinco-Guerrero and Atty Simplicio Virtudazo Jr , Club President, led the ceremony. Some directors and the management team were also present to welcome the new members

Plaques of Appreciation were also given to Life Members as a way to acknowledge and recognize their support and loyalty to the club.

GIVING OF DONATION

As the sole beneficiary of the club’s last Beerfest event, the club gave a cash donation to the Salesian Society of St John Bosco led by Fr Joji Inocentes, SDB. This religious organization aims to help the ailing and elderly priests through their healthcare program.

NEW YEAR’S TOAST

A productive 2024, indeed. On January 9, 2025, the Board of Directors headed by Atty. Simplicio Virtudazo Jr. hosted the first New Year’s Toast to celebrate a lucrative and successful 2024. The Zobel Dining Room was teeming with beaming Supervisors and Managers who all helped each other to reach another milestone.

Some directors who attended and shared this momentous event were: Vice President - Mr. Ed Francisco, Treasurer – Mr Roel Alonzo, Membership Committee Chairwoman – Ms Jennie Guerrero; Construction Committee Chairman – Mr. Kiko Rondilla; and Socials Committee Chairman – Mr. Henry Herrera.

The Food and Beverage Department recently launched different food promotions to spice up the first months of 2025!

MEET AND GREET WITH THE CLUB PRESIDENT

As a commitment to give the best service to the MSCI employees, the Club President Atty. Simplicio “Jun” Virtudazo, Jr. met the MSCI employees on May 8, 2024 to discuss his plans for the club and its employees. He also explained his expectations and, likewise, asked the MSCI staff to air their sentiments and concerns about their jobs.

Additionally, Atty. Virtudazo emphasized the importance of following the club’s policies and expounded the employees’ salaries and benefits and his intentions to improve their livelihood by giving them adequate wages that will sustain their everyday needs.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT SEMINAR

Lifeline Philippines in coordination with the club’s HR Department conducted a Basic Life Support Seminar on October 22, 2024 at the Dasmariñas Function Room

Employees were taught the rudiments of initial medical emergency assistance and the importance of providing first aid to patients.

FINANCIAL WELLNESS SEMINAR

The management organized a Financial Wellness Seminar for MSCI Employees on February 19, 2025 conducted by Ms. Digna Licuanan from Insular Life and CEO of MoneyManagers. She tackled the importance of budgeting and preparing for your future. She also discussed different investments which a person can venture into to protect our assets and health.

TEAM BUILDING

MSCI General Manager Mr Ron Limbo organized a Team Building/Planning Seminar on January 10-11, 2025 at the San Antonio Function Room Managers and Supervisors attended and presented their specific goals, plans, and targets. According to Mr. Limbo, the main objective of this planning is to improve productivity and hone their skills in conflict resolution, problem solving, and collaboration.

EMPLOYEES’ THANKSGIVING PARTY

After a four-year hiatus because of the pandemic, MSCI employees bonded at the Employees’ Thanksgiving Party on November 21, 2024 at the Dasmariñas Function Room. Employees vying for the grand prize prepared song numbers and dance presentations to entertain the audience and the directors Cash prizes were given to the winners as well as raffle prizes to the lucky employees

This event also gave the chance for the employees to connect with their colleagues and relax after a long day at work.
