A note from the Directors In this production, I wanted to create something that the audience can relate to and resonate with in order to embrace the message that these play share. I want the takeaway to be that you can get through anything that life throws at you; it just takes time. I hope that this resonates with the audience so that they can feel like they have control over their own lives and they can live life to the fullest.
~
- Kiara Dowell, Director
The plays you see tonight were initiated by the event of ISU student playwrights visiting Terre Haute’s Swope Museum in October 2019. For me, the best art comes from the soul of the artist and can speak to the soul of the viewer. When a work speaks to a fellow artist and their souls truly understand one another, remarkable things can happen. The plays you see tonight were an integral part of such an intimate conversation among souls, and we in the ISU Theater Department are honored to apply our craft to share something of that conversation with you tonight. - Arthur Feinsod, Playwriting Instructor and Director
