A year ago with so much emotion and a little fear, we were going to launch our first photocall 'Kirone's Time: let's tell our elders'. Just one year has passed. What has changed? Apparently perhaps little. And yet, for us, it was precisely this call that to discover a new time. Every author, every story we have known kept a seed, a sign that we have added to everyone else and has shown us a new direction, the one we have traveled together with you.
Many stories and faces have become familiar. Now we're all mutually richer. Photography introduced us to people and places, village squares, and intimate family spaces lived in their homes. In other cases, they were hospital rooms or anonymous environments such as those of nursing homes. There is also this in being elderly; always intense looks, smiles, and gestures never banal, and then the fear of illness and loneliness. Perhaps the two hardest thoughts to keep away.
