RIVIERA SCHOOLS A LOOK AHEAD
Dear Riviera Families, As we look towards the 2024-2025 school year, exciting developments to our Riviera campuses and program are on the horizon. These enhancements reflect the feedback of our families, students, and staff, and address three key areas of evolution for Riviera Schools: updates to our Day School campus facility, an enhanced dining experience, and strategic planning to further develop life competency resources and programs across both campuses. In addition to these efforts, we will continue to grow our incredible curriculum by expanding the course offerings and extracurricular opportunities available to our students. At Riviera Schools, we commit to support, challenge, and inspire our students to achieve excellence, act with integrity, and serve others. It is our pleasure to further advance this work in partnership with each of our families, and we thank you for your steadfast commitment to Riviera’s mission and vision. Riviera’s outstanding academic program and student achievement have been recognized by our global network, International Schools Partnership (ISP), and the significant investment of resources that is noted in the pages that follow are reflective of their commitment to continuously evolve and enhance the Riviera experience. Please enjoy the following pages for a glimpse into our plans for the 2024-2025 school year. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead with you and your children.

DAY SCHOOL CAMPUS UPDATES We are excited to share with our Day School families news of enhancements to our campus facility. In an effort to create a more aesthetically pleasing and enriching atmosphere for our students, we will be updating our school landscaping starting over the Winter Break. Our design involves the addition of new shrubbery, plants, and trees that will not only contribute to the overall beauty of our campus but also provide a more vibrant and welcoming space for our children to learn and play. The intentional layout will create natural zones for outdoor learning, conversation with peers, and mindfulness activities. Additionally, plans are underway to update our playground on the Day School campus. The addition of modern play structures on site will enhance the free play experience, and age appropriate equipment will ignite physical, musical, and dramatic play opportunities. Further design details will be shared with our Day School community as the project progresses. Lastly, we have started work in our main office to update the layout and look of our entryway to provide guests and families with an excellent experience upon arrival.
Images are design samples; a final rendering of the new playground will be shared soon.

AN ENHANCED DINING EXPERIENCE On our Riviera Day School campus, ISP has committed to the purchase of a mobile kitchen that will be fully equipped to prepare hot, fresh meals for students each day. Additional investments in updated equipment in our existing Day School prep area will afford greater opportunity for a range of foods to be served to our youngest students. The convenience of having meals readily available on school premises offers students a more satisfying alternative to prepared meals and will contribute to a happier and more positive school environment. We have also purchased a BBQ smoker for our Prep School that will allow us to broaden our range of food options to include freshly made burgers, grilled beef, grilled chicken, and smoked pulled pork made from scratch. In addition to improving the breadth of food options on campus, the mobile kitchen and smoker will also afford Riviera an opportunity to further increase our sense of community and connection by hosting new and expanded activities on site such as community cookouts, game-day meals, and family events.
EVOLVING OUR APPROACH TO HOLISTIC EDUCATION Riviera Schools has always embodied an approach to education that caters to the development of the whole child. We believe that it is integral to provide students of all ages with the support staff, resources, opportunities, and teachable moments that will prepare them to be academically, socially, and emotionally successful in their futures. As we approach the 24-25 school year, we are building a staffing model that includes a counselor on site at the Day School who will support the emotional needs and social skill development of our youngest students. At our Prep campus, we are further defining the work of our college counseling team and mental health counseling supports to ensure that students are provided both resources as they matriculate through the middle and high school years. Over the next several months, through a joint effort of our counseling and administrative team, Riviera Schools will determine a blueprint and curriculum for students to learn and practice age-appropriate social skills, develop core values, and attain valuable life competencies, as these are critical to the mission of Riviera and the holistic success of our students.
“THE SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY IS DEFINITELY THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR DISTINGUISHING RIVIERA FROM OTHER SCHOOLS.” SIRIKORN UNSRI, GRADE 11
Through an intentional design process, bolstered by extra staff and expanded resources, Riviera Schools is set to introduce enhanced programming and supports. This initiative aims to nurture the whole student, fostering academic knowledge, personal growth, emotional intelligence, creativity, critical thinking, and social skills.
