Key Employee Alex

He’s only been at Spearfish Grille for six months, but both his manager and coworkers point to chef Alex as a big asset. Said co-worker John, “He’s been great at training other people, right away.” Alex is from Palmetto, where he worked previously at a sports bar. “My father loved to cook ever since I can remember, so that’s where I got it,” he said of his passion for the kitchen. “And here, with the open kitchen, everyone can see what’s going on. I like to get creative, and I like the interaction with the customers. They come up and say hello, and in return I go out to the tables.” Among his favorite creations is the “hogfish free dive,” seen to the right.
