By now most of the non-seasonal residents will have seen the dramatic construction that is underway at the Landings Shopping Center. Benderson Development is reportedly undertaking an estimated two million dollar renovation of the aging plaza. The makeover is expected to include re-roofing of the center. It will also include the support pillars which will be girded with an attractive design along with numerous flower beds planned along the walkway. The composition of the current sidewalks is being replaced with state-of-the-art pavers. In addition, approximately eight feet of the sidewalk is expected to be extended so the area under the portico can be utilized for outdoor dining. The parking lot will be reconfigured to accommodate the wider sidewalk areas and newly landscaped islands. Continued on page 18
