Pattern Ordering Information PATTERN ORDERING INFORMATION Designer projects are shown with yardage charts and QR codes. QR codes allow the Island Batik sales team to scan products into orders efficiently. An “Order All Fabrics” QR code will order all of the fabrics in the chart to meet the yardage requirements for the number of kits the buyer would like; the buyer will be given the option to include or exclude Backing and Binding fabrics. If a Backing or Binding fabric is a SKU that has been repeated elsewhere in the chart, a second bolt will be placed on order. Yardages will not be added together.

Chart calculations are made with 11 yard and 14 yard bolts to account for varying bolt sizes. Large contiguous cuts may require additional bolts.
DESIGNER PROJECT DISCLAIMER Not all yardage requirements are exact; ALWAYS check the pattern jacket before cutting kits. Island Batik cannot accept responsibility for yardage requirements that have been revised after the catalog has been printed. All SKUs listed multiple times are calculated multiple times when figuring bolts per 12 kits.

Jessica’s passion for sewing and quilting began as soon as she was big enough to sit in front of a sewing machine. Tammy has been quilting since 1991. She has also taught at a variety of quilt shops as well as online, and designed and self-published her own quilt patterns under the label Tamarinis. Her designs are regularly published in a variety of quilt magazines, including Quilt, McCall’s Quilting, American Patchwork and Quilting and others.
Linda and Carl love colour and creating colourful contemporary quilt designs and patterns as well as teaching the art of quiltmaking! With over 16 years experience as professional quiltmakers, Linda and Carl are intensely passionate about the art of quiltmaking. To date, they have designed over 100 quilt patterns, authored two books, and even designed a “Fun and Bright” fabric line for P&B Textiles.
Two things inspire Margaret with Eye of the Beholder Quilt Designs: creating things of beauty, and helping others to find their creative voice while gaining the skills to make beautiful things. She is most at peace when she is creating, and she believes touches of beauty bring resting places of peace to others as well.

Designer Spotlight Pauline McArthur, Funky Friends Factory Pauline has just moved to Tasmania - one of the most remote places in Australia - and is enjoying living even closer to nature with wild echidnas wondering through her garden, a platypus in their dam... and the occasional tiger snake! Pauline has been designing her cute and cuddly critters since 2001, starting with a ‘baby-safe bunny’ (with no chewable, chokeable bits) when her friends all started having babies. Over the years the range has grown to include creatures from all around the globe and some cute doll patterns too. She has created a number of patterns for beginners and children so everyone can experience the thrill of making their own soft toys. She tries to make her toy patterns as “simple as possible, without compromising on cute!” Her patterns are used by home sewers around the globe, some have been featured in sewing magazines and a few have been licensed to Simplicity. She has taught classes in quilt stores and to craft groups. She has designed patterns for a fair trade organization in India. Pauline has created patterns for characters in children’s books and business mascots. She contributes to numerous online sewing communities where she aims to inspire people to have more fun sewing cute stuff!
