As we continue to trek through the unchartered territory of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, we continue to hold fast that as a nation, we will get through this. “Life” as we know it has changed and we are indeed in an ever fluid situation; however the Comet spirit which connects all of us serves as a reminder that in spite of everything which lay before us, we still have a glorious future ahead.

As an Association, we remember all those who continue to sacrifice to keep us all safe, in particular those on the front line. We appreciate their sacrifice and commitment and we pray for their safety. There is undoubtedly a number of Comets who are on the front line helping to fight Covid-19 and we are extremely proud to call them our own.

We continue to celebrate with the Class of 2020 who made history by completing their senior year remotely and we are indeed overjoyed that they are now a part of our esteemed Queen’s

or the first time in Queen’s College’s history, the School conducted a Virtual Graduation for the Class of 2020. We want to officially welcome the newest members of the Queen’s College Alumni Association. Congratulations on a job well done on conquering your own unique hurdles this year. We would also like to congratulate other Queen’s College alumni on their graduation from the University of West Indies. We continue to celebrate our alumni as they continue to soar as only Comets do.

Condolences to the Graham family as we celebrate the life of Peter Graham.

Mr. Graham is an alumnus of Queen’s College as he graduated in the 1950s.

He will be missed.

Continued from Page 1 College Alumni Association. As they deliberate on National Examinations and perhaps ponder on future plans, we as a Body would like to encourage them to steer the course and press on as the soaring Comets we know them to be. There is no doubt that the National Examination results have always identified Queen’s College as a pioneer and I have all the more confidence that this year’s results (though challenging) will yield the standard set forth by those before, for the Class of 2020.

I would like to encourage the Class of 2020 and certainly all former years of Queen’s College to get connected and stay connected with Queen’s College through the Alumni Association. In doing so, become an active member and help to pay it forward for the next generation of Comets. Queen’s College has helped to mold us all into the citizens that we are today and our legacy is one that we all can be proud of. We invite you to join us as we continue to foster tradition between Queen’s College and the community at large.

As a former Queen’s College student and parent, I am proud to hold the position of Vice President of the Queen’s College Alumni Association. I pray that we all remain safe during the coming weeks and months ahead and encourage you to now more than ever, adopt the first three habits of Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Be proactive; begin with the end in mind and put first things first.

Much effort and commitment goes into the production of the Queen’s College Alumni Association’s newsletter and so I encourage all to read, digest and share the editions. In this new virtual age, let’s take advantage of staying connected digitally and share in our spirit of Legendary Past….Glorious Future!
