Immigrating to Canada - Who Needs To Prove Language Proficiency?

Most of the Canadian immigration programs require proof of language proficiency except spousal sponsorship and temporary immigration programs. TCF Canada - The TCF (Test de connaissance du français) examination for Canadian immigration also includes the same modules - Oral Comprehension, Written Comprehension, Oral Expression, and Written Expression.

The test results are valid for two years, So, when you complete your Express Entry profile or apply for a PR, your test results must be less than two years old for it to be considered.

The Express Entry profile of a candidate is valid for 1 year. So, make sure that your test results are valid during that period. If the language test results expire before that, make sure you retake the test and update your profile with the new results.
