What is Global Health?

The ISGlobal-University of Barcelona Diploma of Global Health Fundamentals is a postgraduate course designed for those seeking to acquire basic knowledge in the field of health from a global and transdisciplinary approach.

The programme will bring you closer to the current challenges of global health and the organizations that fight for equitable access to health around the world.

Diploma of Global Health Fundamentals Programme

Opportunities

Global Health Fundamentals is a postgraduate diploma that forms part of the ISGlobal-UB Master of Global Health programme. It consists of 30 ECTS (European credits) or 4,5 months, which run from September to January. It takes a participative approach based on case studies, problem solving and debate.

The Diploma of Global Health Fundamentals programme accepts candidates with diverse educational backgrounds (health and life sciences, social sciences, law and economics, etc.) who seek to develop or enhance careers in the field of global health with international organisations, NGOs, ministries of health, cooperation and development agencies, publicprivate partnerships and other actors in the international community interested in improving the health of populations around the world.

Practical Information Language: Bilingual programme in English/Spanish. Interested candidates must certify an advanced level of both English and Spanish.

Tuition: 4.500€ Calendar: From September to January. Full-time.

Place: Faculty of Medicine. University of Barcelona.

The Barcelona Institute for Global Health-University of Barcelona Diploma of Global Health Fundamentals is developed and taught in collaboration with academic institutions, research centres and NGOs in the health sector. Our faculty come from diverse disciplines and have extensive experience working in global health with internationally recognised universities, research centres and public-private partnerships.

Objectives As a student of the Diploma of Global Health Fundamentals, you will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to:
