COMMUNITY EDUCATION FIELD TRIPS Do your kids need to get out of the house? Do they want to go somewhere fun? Come join our Community Education field trips.

These trips provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities. Not only do these field trips provide a break from their normal routine but hands-on learning opportunities and time to socialize with their school friends. *If childcare is needed please make a note when registering. We will then contact you for arrangements.

Bunker Beach is Minnesota’s largest outdoor water park. It is host to 6 water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, rock wall, and a water basketball area. Water slides do NOT allow for life jackets. Students will be grouped according to ages and swimming abilities. There is a 1:10 staff to student ratio for swimming field trips.

Calling all Middle Schoolers! Come join the fun at this ultimate indoor adventure park. Where anyone can explore the thrilling attractions, challenge their body and mind and most importantly….. have a blast! It’s way more than a trampoline park with endless fun for the adventurous soul! Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre presents

PINOCCHIO

Join Annandale Community Education and Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre for a theatre residency.

Anyone ages 7 - 18 can register to perform in this original musical production of “Pinocchio.”

YOUTH ENRICHMENT

Auditions will be held on Monday, June 27th from 12:30pm - 2:30pm at Annandale High School Auditorium, followed by a rehearsal (based on your character role) from 2:30pm - 4:30pm (bring a light snack).

Pre-registration is required prior to auditions and all those who register and audition will be guaranteed a part in the production.

Rehearsals will be held throughout the remainder of the week at Annandale High School Auditorium.

Tuesday, June 28th: Pending role rehearsal will be from 12:30pm - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 4:30pm Wednesday, June 29th & Thursday, June 30th: Rehearsal will be from 12:30pm - 4:30pm Each day bring a light snack. Students will need to be present for both.

Friday, July 1st: Arrive at 9:30am - 12:30pm for rehearsal and bring a lunch. Performance at 1:00pm then go home to rest up. Be back at 6:00pm to prepare for the 7:00pm show!

Students will learn to program and fly at the same time! Groups of students will use drones that can be programmed to perform aerial maneuvers with entry level, block based coding. The fun and excitement of flying drones makes it easy to forget that students will be learning valuable 21st century programming skills in the process. The camp will consist of a variety of fun challenges where students will put the programming skills that they learn to the test. Parents are welcome to stop in at the end of each day to see what their child has learned.

Students will start off Drone Photography by learning how to fly an entry level photography drone. Once they’ve mastered the basics, they’ll be taught more advanced techniques that will help them take higher quality photos and videos with their drones. Photo and video editing software tutorials will enable students to create awesome media content that they can download and keep after the camp.

Students are encouraged to bring a flash drive to save and share their creations!

Pioneer Park Day Camps At Minnesota Pioneer Park Ages 6 & Up Do you have what it takes to be a pioneer? Come and experience the daily life of a pioneer farm child. Dress the part, with bonnets and aprons for the girls, vests and hats for the boys. Do chores, bake bread, churn butter, cook over a woodstove. Attend school in an authentic one room school house. This program will combine time for fundamentals practice as well as open gym. Participants will spend a portion of class each week working on fundamentals with Coach Weber and the remaining time working on those skills in an Open Gym format with their peers.

Cardinal Strength and Conditioning will combine cardio, and body weight exercises for a total body workout for future Cardinal Athletes.

Prepare for all seasons of sports with this program! All ability levels are welcome. Exercises can be modified to fit each student.

Get your student started in sports with this wonderful sports sampler!

This program explores a variety of sports in a fun, positive, and exciting environment.

This is a DNR Sponsored class that is required in order to obtain a firearm safety certificate. Participants must be age 11 and older at the start of the class. IMPORTANT: Participants must attend all sessions to become certified. If you cannot attend all sessions, do not sign up. DNR Firearms safety certification is required of anyone born after 12/31/1979 in order to obtain a hunting license. Classes are held at the Annandale Conservation Club, 360 Conservation Club Road in Annandale (on the east side of Eastview Mobile Home Park off Hemlock). Field Day will be held outdoors, please dress for the weather. No open toed shoes. Hunter orange is encouraged. All equipment, firearms and ammunition will be furnished by the Conservation Club. Through a thoughtful curriculum, girls in this program will learn how to set and achieve personal goals in a supportive community. Girls will be motivated by influential female guest speakers in our community.

Is transportation available for my child?

Students may pay an additional monthly fee for transportation to and from school pending their location. Students who are age 4 by Sept. 1st, 2022 are eligible to ride the bus. Check out the Annandale Preschool Transportation page for more information.

Peddling in the heart of the lakes!

Interested in bicycling? Would you like someone to ride with? Join our group as we hit the roads around Annandale this summer.

The purpose of the class is to promote healthy living and have fun peddling with other piking enthusiasts. Riders will meet as a group on Monday Evenings at 6:00pm. Each class will run for a minimum of 30 minutes and continue until 8pm for those who wish to get in a longer ride. Open Pickleball All Ages Come and join us on Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9-12 for this fun and increasingly popular sport! Similar to the games of tennis and Ping Pong, Pickleball takes place on a condensed Tennis court with a few varied rules. Please bring your own paddle and balls. Puppy Training This six-week class is for all breeds of puppies, ages 8 weeks to 4 months old. Each class starts with 15 minutes of puppy play and socialization. Throughout the six-weeks, we work on basic obedience including leash walking, sit, down and stay. We address issues as needed such as biting, house breaking, crate training, etc. Classes are held indoors in a heated / AC facility with matted floors. Puppies should have their first set of shots including first Parvo/distemper and Bordatella (optional). Young handlers are welcome accompanied by a parent. Students should bring a regular buckle collar, 6- foot leash and plenty of soft dog treats to class. *Register to begin any Monday night.

Stillwater Trolley Tour - Stillwater, MN This eight-week class is for all breeds of dogs 5 months and older.

55+ Mature Driver Discount Program (4 Hour Refresher Class Offerings)

One-On-One Computer or iPad Training & Coaching

MN Statute requires the completion of an 8 hour initial course. To maintain your discount, a 4 hour refresher course needs to be completed every 3 years.

Receive individual computer training and instruction by an experienced trainer. Any computer related questions are good questions. Bring your own laptop or iPad or one will be available for use. Please indicate 2 or 3 areas you would like help with along with a choice of times available for training when registering.

When should I register for class? ► Now! Many classes fill quickly and instructors need to order supplies. ► Help ensure your class has enough students by registering at least 7 days prior to the class starting ► Registering early will reserve your spot in classes ► You’ll be registered to participate in the class when you receive an email confirmation from notifications@rschooltoday.com of your registration

What happens when class is canceled? ► Community Education reserves the right to cancel any activity due to insufficient enrollment, all fees are refunded if a course is canceled due to insufficient registrations ► Classes are canceled 2 - 6 business days prior to the start of class.
