Most of the school’s operating expenses are covered by tuition. Contributed revenue from our generous donors and grantors provide the non-tuition revenue that support all endeavors to achieve our mission.
REVENUE EXPENSES
We hold our Annual Voyager Fund donors in high esteem. These unrestricted gifts provide the most direct and flexible funding for all of Island School. Students, faculty, staff, programs, and activities are all enriched by this crucial funding. These gifts make an immediate impact in supporting the dynamic education not covered by tuition.

Island School
The first Island School gala was held at the Coco Palms Queen’s Audience Hall on February 23, 1980. The gala has grown into a signature annual event for the whole Kauaʻi community, and attracted over 400 enthusiastic attendees in 2024. The gala proceeds make a significant contribution to Island School’s financial aid program and dynamic programming offered to all students.
