The sunniest ski resort in the Paznaun, ideal for families and freeriders

The family-friendly ski resort Kappl in the Tyrolean Paznaun region offers a breathtaking mountain panorama and, due to its high altitude, ensures snowsure fun on sun-drenched slopes. More than 90% of all the slopes are located above 1,800 meters.
Kappl boasts 10 cable cars and ski lifts, as well as sun-soaked 42 kilometers of slopes, reaching up to 2,700 meters above sea level. The expansive slopes are ideal for families, avid skiers, and snowboarders. Additionally, Kappl offers a beautiful 6-kilometer-long natural toboggan run, a fun activity for the entire family. In

addition to excellent slopes, the Kappl ski area also provides a culinary experience. Our numerous mountain restaurants and huts await you for a cozy break with culinary delights.
Freeriding means more than just leaving a trail in the snow. At the sight of an untracked slope, freeriding imparts the feeling of freedom just before your skis plunge into the unspoiled snow.
Away from the groomed ski slopes, the Kappl ski area opens up a genuine powder paradise for skiers and snowboarders with countless descent options and a

breathtaking mountain panorama. Kappl has now become a true freeride “hot spot.” Certainly, contributing to this reputation are the Open Faces Freeride Contests held annually from the nearby Quellspitze, located not far from the top station of the Alblittkopfbahn. The best part for those
venturing into our backcountry area is that almost all freeride slopes start from the top stations of the Alblittkopf or Alblittbahn.
The Kappl ski resort in the Tyrolean Paznaun region is an absolute hidden gem among the western Austrian ski areas.

All ski passes are issued without a passport photo, with the exception of season passes. The ski passes are non-transferrable and must be presented to inspectors, on request. Any cards not purchased from the counters or lost cards will be blocked at the turnstiles.
The company reserves the right to open or close individual ski facilities. Anyone who fails to respect the closure of facilities or fails to follow the instructions and orders given by our employees in terms of the lift facilities and lift services will be barred from transportation and will not be entitled to any refund. There are reasons for all piste restrictions – skiing away from the pistes presents its own danger!
Refunds: Refunds are only granted in cases of sports accidents and only for the injured person. Any remaining days are calculated from the point when the ski pass was purchased from the counter. Refunds are issued in cash. No interruptions are possible. A medical certificate is required for all refunds (only valid when issued by one of the approved doctors in the valley - Dr. Jehle, Dr. Walser, Dr. Prem – or from Zams hospital. In the case of a lost ski pass (from 3 day pass), a replacement pass can be issued for the remaining time, provided the blocking number and proof of ID are provided. Ski passes valid for less than 3 days cannot be replaced. A processing fee is charged on any refunds and replacements issued.

Please enquire about the current operating and weather conditions before purchasing the ski pass.
Health Measures: Compliance with the respective legally prescribed protective measures, for example, to contain pandemics, is the responsibility of the customer. If the customer does not comply with the legally prescribed measures, transportation cannot and may not take place. If non-transportation occurs for this reason, it does not entitle the customer to a refund. In the event of a forced closure of the cable car facilities, border closure, or travel warnings due to health risks, if the relevant government orders continue until the planned end of the winter season, the following refund regulations apply: 1.) For multi-day ski passes, the difference between the purchase price and the purchase price of a ski pass whose validity corresponds to the number of days available until the closure will be refunded. Refund amount = Pass price - Ski pass price for usable days. 2.) A refund is due for season passes if they were used for less than 20 days. The refund is 1/20 of the (discounted) pass price multiplied by the unused ski days, in relation to the maximum of 20 days. The amount of the refund is limited to 75% of the (discounted) purchase price. Refund amount = Pass price/20 x (20 - days used). 3.) A refund is only due if the official closure of the facilities, border closure, or travel warning makes it impossible to use the offer in all ski areas or parts of ski areas covered by the validity of the respective ski pass (e.g., See, Ischgl, and Samnaun). 4.) Refund requests must be submitted in writing at the respective point of sale for multi-day ski passes by no later than May 15, 2026, and for season passes by no later than September 30, 2026. After this deadline, the claim expires.

Misuse: Ticket checks will be carried out to prevent misuse. Misuse of the ski pass will result in it being withdrawn and will incur the following consequences:
1. The ski pass must be purchased.
2. A € 70 fine will be charged.
Transporting children by chair lift: Children below 1.10m in height must sit on an adult’s lap during transportation. Children between 1.10m and 1.25m in height can be transported in their own seat on the chair lift, provided that they sit next to an suitable adult.
Tariff association: The individual services covered by the ski pass are provided by legally independent companies. The company selling the pass is only acting as a representative for the other companies. Only the relevant responsible company is therefore liable for the provision of individual services and for compensating for damages in the event of accident or injury. Otherwise, the tariff and transport conditions apply.
Fresh snow: We strive to offer you the best slope conditions each day. Nevertheless, when fresh snow falls, it is not always possible to prepare all of the slopes at the same time, even with substantial use of our piste equipment. In some weather and snow conditions, the new snow does not bond with the layer of snow underneath and so the new snow slips when the slope is in use, despite preparation of the slopes. This is not caused by any lack of maintenance. The slopes cannot be re-prepared during operation of the slopes due to the enormous hazard potential.
Daily operating times: from 08:30 to 16:00.
NB: There is always a danger presented by avalanche blasting, piste equipment, winch ropes etc. outside of the operating hours.
The slopes are out of operation daily from 16:45 to 08:30 – no safety measures (exception: special events).
Fun sports facilities: Use of individual facilities may be partially limited. Use of facilities is at the user’s own risk.
Tobogganing evening: A tobogganing evening takes place every Thursday. The Diasbahn is in operation from 19:00 – 21:00. The tobogganing evening ticket is valid for the whole evening (ski passes are not valid, except 3+1 offer).
Morning passes until 12:30: The morning ticket includes a refund option. If the ticket is returned in person at the valley station of the Diasbahn by 12:30, the corresponding partial amount will be refunded.
NB: If a ski pass crosses over different seasons, our counter computer will automatically calculate and issue a mixed rate pass.

3. The Kappl police department will be informed of any suspected fraudulent use of a service (§ 149 StGB) or suspected fraud (§ 146 StGB).
