GenGreen: Green Everyday

Page 1

Green Everyday Duration: Every day

Target Group : All youth

Theme: Green Everyday Life & Youth Role Models

Location: Everywhere

Why it matters? GenGreen is not only about creating green activities or events. It is about building a community culture where sustainable choices become shared habits. When young people lead by example, small everyday actions can become something others recognise, value and adopt.

How it works? At GAME, the idea is to make sustainable thinking simple, visible and part of everyday life. Young people are encouraged to notice their daily habits and ask: “Can we do this in a greener way?” The focus is on recognising and sharing small green choices within the community, gradually making them part of everyday practice.

Communication & Promotion The strongest communication is through everyday example. When young staff, volunteers and others make small sustainable choices visible, they become easier for others to understand and copy. Simple reminders, stories and sharing good examples can help make green thinking feel natural and become part of the culture of the community.

Tips (Lessons learned) Keep it simple and practical Focus on small everyday choices Lead by example Make green choices visible Build the culture together Integrate, don’t add another task Focus on progress, not perfection

Cost Snapshot Mostly based on changing habits and ways of thinking, with little or no additional cost. 123 Anywhere St., Any City 123-456-7890 GENGREEN INITIATIVE Small investments may support practical solutions such as reuse systems, signage or waste sorting.

Quick Results The immediate result is mainly a shift in awareness: people start noticing everyday choices and seeing that small actions can be different. The value is not in one individual action, but in starting a shared conversation and making green thinking visible in the community. Expected Impact short term and long term Short term: Green thinking becomes more familiar and everyday choices become easier to notice and discuss. Young people begin to influence each other through example and shared practice. Long term: The real impact comes from what these small actions can build over time. When sustainable choices become part of the culture of a community, they can influence habits, expectations and behaviour far beyond the individual action. By creating communities where people inspire each other and green thinking becomes normal, GAME can contribute to lasting behavioural change and a stronger culture of sustainable everyday life. Name

“For me, GenGreen is about making green thinking part of what we already do at GAME. I’m inspired by how small, creative choices can become part of our everyday culture — like turning broken skateboards into cones or making balls from waste before training. It’s about showing young people that you don’t need to be perfect or do something big. You can start with what you have, have fun with it, and inspire each other along the way.”

Testimony from Moïra “I think a lot of young people are already thinking about the ways our world isn’t very sustainable, but they don’t always know what they can actually do about it. That’s why I think GenGreen is so cool. It gives people a place to learn, try things out and discover how small changes in everyday life can make a difference. For me, it’s about making sustainability feel possible — not something you have to be perfect at, but something we can learn and create together.”
