Clermont Show - the Isaac Region’s Show The end of May means only one thing - it’s Show Time! contributed by Kate Flohr

The weather is cooling down, the days are getting shorter – that can only mean one thing in the Isaac Region. It’s Clermont Show time. Finalise your fine arts, polish your pumpkins, bake some biscuits, fertilize your ferns, organise your oranges or play music to your mandarins! The Clermont Show Committee are in final preparations for a jam-packed three days of fun, entertainment and displays. Gate entry prices for the Clermont Show have not changed for many years. The Clermont Show Committee encourages all families and the whole community to attend the show to enjoy the colour and excitement of Sideshow Alley, as well as experience the huge array of local produce and the great entertainment. Gate prices are the same whether attending for one day or two: $5 per adult, $3 High school students and pensioners, free for children under 12. Visitors who attend on Tuesday may keep their ticket for free entry on Wednesday, the show Public Holiday. Get ready for it all to begin on Monday with the Beef Cattle Judging as well as Dressage competition in the morning from 9am sharp. The Show Jumping will start on Monday afternoon. Check out the Schedules at www.clermontshow.com.au for more details for when the events are beginning. Make sure your giant pumpkins are ready on Tuesday. Entries close at 12pm and are to be delivered to the Heritage Building (brick building on top of the hill). We are looking forward to seeing some monster-sized pumpkins again this year. The Bull Bonanza – Commercial Bull Sale will be starting at 2.30pm at the Ladies Annex beside the main bar. This will see some of the best bulls in the region up for grabs in a Helmsman-style auction. Have a chat with your local agent for more information.

The 2016 Isaac Region’s Clermont Show is excited to have Big Top Entertainment to entertain the crowds. They will have roving entertainment throughout the Show and three amazing circus shows including breath taking aerial acts, clowning, comedy and magic. There will also be two, thirty minute circus workshops teaching participants the art of juggling, hula hooping, plate spinning plus more! Make sure you see them at the tent to find out all the information. Get your seats early on Tuesday night as the Big Top Entertainment crew will have a spectacular show for us before the fireworks at 8pm. Definitely not one to be missed. After the fireworks on Tuesday night, we be holding our Young Farmers Challenge. Last year teams faced four ‘farmers’ challenges and some entertaining obstacles and some surprise talents from the Region emerged. This years will again be an event not to miss and to get involved in! Teams of four must be 18 years and over and be ready to face obstacles that are part of everyday life for many in the Isaac Region. Keep an eye on the Clermont Show Facebook page for more details. We will again have our travelling farm and don’t forget the pig races and the rest of the Show fun including show jumping, cattle events, ring events, working dog championships, and trade and machinery displays. With so much fun to be had in Side Show Alley, there is more than two days’ worth of entertainment for the family to enjoy. There really is only one place to be, and we look forward to seeing you at the 2016 Clermont Show – the Isaac Region’s Show.
