“Dig It Isaac! is all about getting back to nature, in your own backyard. Winners will share in $3700 worth of Shop Isaac gift cards with the major prize winner walking away with $1000 to spend at Isaac businesses.
Dig It Isaac is a fresh and ground-breaking competition to unite green thumbs across Isaac as well as supporting local business.
“So how do you enter? Spend $20 or more at a local Isaac business to help create your very own backyard oasis within the region.
Isaac Regional Council in partnership with generous local businesses have planted the seeds to encourage residents to get back to basics by starting a new garden or completing a project that’s been sitting on the to-do list.
“Entries will be accepted for Best Overall Garden, Edible Garden, Drought-Resistant Garden, Grown from Seeds Garden, Potted Garden and School, Kindy or Day Care Garden.
Mayor Anne Baker said this is the competition for those who absolutely love their time in their yard and there is a Dig It Isaac! Category for all budgets and abilities. “Let’s put spring in Isaac’s step and take advantage of our incredible weather this time of year,” Mayor Baker said.
