SHOP ISAAC, SUPPORT LOCAL, BUILD LOCAL This week Isaac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker unveiled ‘Shop Isaac,’ a region-wide campaign designed to support local businesses and encourage residents to shop in their own town. Isaac Regional Council Mayor Baker said the program is more than just your average ‘Buy Local’ campaign, and incorporates a loyalty gift card program, which will see money spent back in regional communities. “The program includes gift cards which can only be redeemed at local businesses, tourist destinations and events who are part of Shop Isaac,” Mayor Baker said. Mayor Baker urged local businesses to register and start to reap the program’s many benefits. “Shop Isaac is completely free to sign up, all you need is an EFTPOS machine to participate,” Mayor Baker said. “Businesses who register receive a dedicated Shop Isaac promotional kit along with support from our Business Support Officer. “Shop Isaac promotes and endorses the choices that
matter. “When we choose to shop in our own town, we choose jobs for our family members and we give our towns the chance to thrive. “Local businesses are the backbone of our communities, they offer personal service, they are unique, they know us, they live and work next door to us, and they reinvest back in our communities. “Now is the time to support these gems which make our communities better places to live, work and play.” Mayor Baker encouraged industry leaders to support local communities by purchasing gift cards. “Shop Isaac gift cards can be used as employee incentives, employee rewards or as a means of community sponsorship,” Mayor Baker said. “When industry leaders support local business, it builds stronger communities.” To register your business to join Shop Isaac contact Council’s Business Support Officer by calling 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) or email business.support@isaac.qld.gov.au

NOTIFICATION OF UPCOMING TENDERS Isaac Regional Council (IRC) invites local suppliers to register their interest for the supply of goods and services or capital works with Local Buy and LG Tenderbox. Local Buy is an independent procurement partner IRC uses to source and deliver goods and services quickly through a panel of pre-qualified vendors, while still complying with local government regulations. Local Buy is currently undertaking a major review and refresh of current supplier arrangements across a range of industries and IRC is encouraging local businesses to submit a Request for Tender (RFT) to be considered for the pre-qualified vendor panel. For eligibility criteria or to submit an RFT to join the prequalified vendor panel please contact Local Buy at www. localbuy.net.au or call (07) 3000 2115 or email enquiry@ localbuy.net.au and complete an application before the category closing date below. LG Tenderbox is used by IRC when Local Buy panel arrangements are not available, when IRC needs to source or create a separate supplier panel, or when IRC wishes to test the market for large contract arrangements. LG Tenderbox does not require vendors to have met the pre-qualifications of the Local Buy panel. IRC is encouraging businesses to register for LG Tenderbox to receive notification of upcoming tenders, download tender documents, participate in tender forums and lodge electronic tender submissions. Businesses can register their interest on LG Tenderbox at www.lgtenderbox.com.au/contact

Patrons are welcome to return stock, browse and borrow but there is a limit of 15 visitors at a time in the Clermont library to maintain social distancing and a few other changes to ensure we adhere to government directives. Library programs, such as Storytime and Craft, are still on hold due to visitor limits and social distancing.
