Home is where the heart is Local girl Anna Boyes completed her secondary schooling at Clermont State High School, graduating in 2010 with an OP of 3. Anna moved to Brisbane in 2011 to begin studying at the University of Queensland. Anna completed a Bachelor of Health, Sport and Physical Education in 2014.

In her final year of study, Anna moved into the health promotion sector after being invited to complete her Honours.

Upon completion of her application to teach with Education Queensland, Anna entered the profession with an Outstanding Applicant ranking. She has since begun working at Dysart High School and is thoroughly enjoying teaching the Year 7 and 8 students in her speciality areas of Mathematics, Science and HPE. Still unable to stay away from home, Anna travels back to Clermont every weekend.

Anna looks forward to immersing herself back into the Clermont and wider CQ community, giving back to those who have supported her. Anna has had a valuable journey of personal growth and finally, a place in a profession well-matched to her nature – teaching.
