PUBLIC NOTICES CLERMONT LIBRARY PARK TEMPORARY CLOSURE Isaac Regional Council advises Clermont residents that it has closed the Herschel St park area adjacent to the Jacki Finger Library due to localised ground subsidence caused by an infrastructure failure. This was caused by the collapse of an underground water tank on the site and the impact is limited to this area only. Council is working to repair the affected area and return the park to service as quickly as possible. Council requests that people remain clear of the fenced off work zone for safety reasons until rectification works are completed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The draft documents provide strategic direction to foster a strong, sustainable and diverse local economy. NOMINATE INSPIRING WOMEN WHO ENERGISE ISAAC

Isaac residents are being encouraged to celebrate local women who empower them, energise them and make a positive difference to their community and the region.
Mayor Baker said nominees and winners would be recognised at International Women’s Day events in communities across the region, held as part of the 2019 Queensland Women’s Week celebrations from March 2-10.
Nominations are now open for the 2019 Inspiring Women In Isaac Awards. Mayor Anne Baker said the awards were the community’s chance to nominate women of all ages and from all walks of life who help make the region a better place to live, work and play.
“Queensland Women’s Week recognises and celebrates the achievements of Queensland’s women and girls. Everyone has a role to play in creating a Queensland community that respects women, embraces gender equality, and promotes and protects the rights, interests and wellbeing of women and girls,” she said
“Isaac is a region which is feeding, powering and building communities, but I’m proudest to say our greatest asset is not our rich resources, fertile soils and paddocks, but our people,” she said.
Nomination forms are available online at Council’s website isaac.qld.gov.au/inspiringwomen or from Council offices and libraries. Nominations close Friday, February 15.
