CLOCK IS TICKING FOR AUSTRALIA DAY AWARD NOMINATIONS Time is running out for residents in the Isaac region to nominate a mate, local community champion or quiet achiever for the 2020 Isaac Australia Day Awards. Nominations close on Saturday, 30 November with winners to be announced at local Australia Day celebrations on Sunday, 26 January 2020. Mayor Anne Baker is encouraging residents to act now to ensure they don’t miss the upcoming deadline and opportunity to acknowledge and say thanks to some of the region’s most deserving residents. “The pure people power which drives the Isaac region provides an abundance of worthy nominees in our communities,” she said. “Our annual Australia Day Awards are a celebration of the people, clubs, groups and organisations who have made a significant social, civic, sporting or cultural contribution within or on behalf of our region. “We all know an individual, volunteer group or organisation that genuinely deserves recognition

To nominate a deserving local, go to isaac.qld.gov.au/australiaday or visit any Council office for a nomination form and submit the nomination by Saturday, 30 November.
