Fun, fashion, friendship and fine racing in Clermont Fun, fashion, friendship and fine racing brought a town together at Pepperina Park on Saturday November 18.
The much loved Clermont Spring Races sported colours aplenty with many dressed in whimsical and creative outfits.
Race 4 – Garraway Group Ratings Band 0 – 60 handicap 1400m One Grey (trained by Brendan Richardson, ridden by Jockey Mark Barnham).
Isaac Regional Council Division 6 Councillor Lyn Jones said the races were another great success.
Race 5 – Lund Grain and Stockfeed Clermont Country Open Plate 1400m Far North (trained by John Manzelmann, ridden by Jockey Emma Bell).
"Clermont’s races are a true reflection of what we love about regional living,” Cr Jones said. “From first class racing, through to the fun of getting dressed up and having a punt, there’s nothing more exhilarating. “Congratulations to the Clermont Race Club and event organisers for delivering another stellar community event.” Race winners were: Race 1 – CFMEU Class B Handicap 1000m Solartek (trained by Bevan Johnson, ridden by Jockey Robert Faehr). Race 2 – Isaac Regional Council QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m Del Diavolo (trained by Jamie McConachy, ridden by Jockey Mark Barnham). Race 3 – Blair Athol Coal Class 4 Handicap 1200m Chatara (trained by Brendan Richardson, ridden by Jockey Chris McIver).
