Snap up tickets for Isaac's night of nights Working together to fight the stigma surrounding mental illness is at the forefront of Isaac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker's charitable extravaganza.
Mayor Baker, who is Director of the Isaac Regional Charity Fund, said the region needs to talk about mental illness openly.
Don’t miss out on your chance to dine, dance and make a difference by raising funds and awareness for this good cause.
“More than three million Australians are living with depression or anxiety and every day eight are taking their own life nationally,” Mayor Baker said.
Master of ceremonies Nigel the Entertainer will lead the show stopping line-up.
“In Isaac, in our communities, we need to raise awareness surrounding mental illness. “Meaningful conversations change the way our communities think and I believe we can do this better, together.” To join the fight against mental illness, tickets for the 2017 Mayor’s Charity Ball are set to go on sale this Friday, September 15. Mayor Baker said the elegant black tie affair will include a three-course dinner, live music, prizes, a charity auction and much more. “This is Isaac’s night of nights and please join me in leading the conversation about mental illness in our communities,” she said.
