149 years since the first Show, the Showgrounds were alive with excitement – from pint-sized piglet racing to powerhouse produce and proudly painted faces. Mayor Anne Baker said the event was another exceptional showcase of the region. “Congratulations to the Clermont Show Committee, your commitment to this regional family event is a credit to our region,” she said. “Roving entertainer Ranger Nick was a great drawcard act this year, and Queensland took out the win at the hotly contested State of Origin Chop. “The squeals of delight from kids enjoying the rides and sideshow alley, and the wonder of the pavilion displays are always some of my favourite show moments. “As well as the opportunity for our rural communities to come together,

the show literally puts their quality produce on the table and under the hammer.

“This was a hit with young and old and we look forward to the goats becoming a regular show feature.

“From machinery and jewellery displays to fireworks and photography competitions, there really is something for everyone.

“Thank you to our sponsors and everyone who came out to celebrate our uniquely Isaac way of life, without your support the show wouldn’t be possible.”

“Isaac holds the mantle of Queensland’s oldest show; our community definitely knows how to kick up its heels and celebrate the best of rural life,” she said. Clermont Show Committee President Scott Moller was thrilled by another great turn out. “Months of hard work, hundreds of volunteer hours and a lot of community pride goes into pulling this event together,” he said. “A new addition to our 2017 line up was the dairy goat competition and goat milking demonstration.

Isaac Regional Council was proud to again be a major sponsor of the Clermont Show – the Isaac Region’s Show. Held over three days from Monday May 29 to Wednesday May 31, competitions including the ‘ANZ Taste Test Competition’, Beef Dinner, Beef Cattle and Stud Cattle Judging, and Cattle Sales, put the region’s meat and livestock industry on show.
