In the wake of Tropical Cyclone Debbie, the Isaac Region Recovery Sub-Group is working hard to restore access and infrastructure to isolated communities,” Mayor Baker said. “I’m extremely grateful to local community members and groups, businesses, state agencies, Council staff and volunteers who have rallied together. “The generosity is outstanding with private operators and agricultural groups like Agforce supporting the community with helicopter food drops, fodder transport and much more from their own pockets and donations. If you’re experiencing personal hardship contact the Community Recovery hotline 1800 173 349,
or visit www.qld.gov.au/communityrecovery for more information. If you live in Isaac and lost power, gas or water for more than 5 days, you may be eligible for a payment of $150 per perosn, or up to $750 for a family of 5 or more. Rev Anne will be commissioned by Bishop David Robinson on Thursday April 20 at 6pm in the Anglican Church. An invitation is extended to the community to attend the commissioning. Refreshments in the Church Hall afterwards for a meet and greet.

Rates dates extended in wake of Cyclone Debbie Isaac Regional Council would like to advise residents that both the rates due date and discounted rates period has been extended in the wake of Cyclone Debbie. Discount period closes and rates due Wednesday May 10 If you have not received your rates notice please contact Council. Ratepayers can register their email address with Council for an additional rates notice to be issued electronically. Ratepayers who make prompt payment on or before Wednesday May 10 will receive a 10 per cent discount on general rates. Where ratepayers have an existing direct debit arrangement with Council, this will proceed on Friday April 7. Council understands some ratepayers may be experiencing hardship and encourages them to apply for a payment arrangement where circumstances exist which may prevent payment within the appointed time. Council will also consider concessions or remissions where unusual and serious circumstances exist. Applications should be able to demonstrate unusual and severe difficulty rather than the usual frustration and trial to which everyone is subjected from time to time. Residents can get ahead and prepay their rates. You have the option to BPAY instalments weekly, fortnightly or monthly. To prepay your rates use the BPAY Biller Code and Reference Number on your rates notice. If you require further information please contact Council’s 24/7 Customer Service Centre on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227). GARY STEVENSON PSM Chief Executive Officer

LIBRARY HAPPENINGS
www.isaac.qld.gov.au 1300 ISAACS
On the Shelf
If you are travelling away for Easter, don’t forget to borrow an audio CD book or download a digital e-audio book to listen on the trip, and please take care on the roads. Create a Story Time Adventure Book
Happy Easter everyone! The Easter Bunny will be hopping our way soon, delivering sweet treats around the neighbourhood. If you are staying home for Easter and want to keep the children entertained during the school holidays, the library will be holding Easter-themed craft activities next Tuesday April 11 and Thursday April 13 from 10am - 11am. There is a limit of 15 places for all activity sessions and bookings are essential. Bring the children in anytime the library is open so they can explore the world of dinosaurs and bugs through books, find a new ‘favourite’ author, and borrow out a DVD.
Storytime starts again on April 21 with a Family theme, followed by a delightful Bugs theme on April 28. Storytime is held every Friday, from 9.30am - 10.30am. ‘4721 Star Challenge’
Isaac Libraries will be holding Story Time Adventure Book sessions from April 18 to June 23, and parents/ caregivers of children under five are invited to create their very own Story Time Adventure Book. The scrapbooks will help create a wonderful book of memories with photos, art, craft, rhyme and story activities. The Story Time Adventure Book is a First5Forever program. First5Forever is about working together as a community to spend time with babies and children in their first years, talking, playing and reading so that growing brains get what they need at the right time.
The Clermont community has made more than 2800 stars for the ‘One Million Stars to End Violence’ star weaving project. Can Clermont rise to the challenge of making the same number of stars to match its postcode of 4721? We have a star weaving station set up for people to drop in anytime during opening hours to weave a star from ribbon. Library program/event bookings Bookings are essential, call the Clermont Library on 4846 3746.
What’s happening in Storytime?
Please note: children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times when visiting the library, including during organised programs.
Storytime will be celebrating Easter today Friday April 7.
Until next time, see you at the Library.
Storytime will not be held on April 14 as we will be closed for Good Friday.

CLASS DESCRIPTION Gut and Butt Blast Is a target class that focuses on strengthening and toning the nine core divisions of the abdominal plane, simultaneously blasting the three muscles of the buttocks, hamstrings and quadriceps.
Although not targeted, general whole body conditioning applies and while challenging, is more than suitable for any fitness level. Boot Camp Boot camp in the park does not only get you out of the house, but also the little ones. Each week is a new and exciting full body program. No week is the same offering a variety and challenges for any fitness level. It’s a fun 30 minutes, while working hard on those fitness goals. Pilates Pilates classes build strength, flexibility and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine. Pilates has a focus on the core which can basically be thought of as the ‘powerhouse’ of you body, but also includes the pelvic floor and lower back.
Boxing 4 Fitness This is a moderate to high intensity cardio boxing class effective in defining the body’s musculature, while improving balance, flexibility and coordination. The cardio component uses the body’s energy systems and improves your ability to use oxygen, helping you to work harder for longer and burn fat in the process. Circuit training This is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity/low-intensity aerobic energy. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise ‘circuit’ is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. It is highly enjoyable and recommended to all levels of fitness. Lets lift This program has been designed to target the eight large muscle groups in a 45mins whole body workout. This is achieved through the use of barbell and dumbbell weights. This class is suitable for all fitness levels.
It’s a great low impact class for all ages. Spots are limited so please contact us to get yours today. Open gym This is your opportunity to use the gym facilities, there will be a basic weights program and WOD on offer for your utilisation, or you could just be creative and do your own training. HIIT - High-Intensity Interval Training This training technique commands full effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise followed by active recovery periods. This for of exercise uses power and cardio, keeping the heart rate high and metabolising fat at the same time.
Metafit This is a 30mins bodyweight training system that gets results! It is a functional and effective, metabolic workout that will change the way you train. Created by a former Royal Marine Commando, Metafit combines the latest HIIT techniques with traditional ‘old school’ bodyweight exercises to set the metabolism on fire.

Clermont Ladies Netball
Clermont Rifle Association
This season for ladies netball we have decided to do something different.
Results from last Sunday - Cool Autos Electrics 800 metres:
We are hoping to run a split competition with two different grades: ‘competitive’ and ‘social’.
Fullbore (highest score 105.21)
The games will still be played on Tuesday nights and will run parallel with each other. We are taking individual and team nominations. To nominate a team: Message us with your team name, captain (inc contact number and email address), bib colour and your choice of whether you want to nominate for the social or competitive competition. To nominate as an individual: Message us with your name, contact number and email address, preferred playing positions, and which competition you would like to play in. PLEASE NOTE the split competition is entirely dependent on the number of nominations we receive. Neither grade can go ahead if we have less than four teams in each. In the event that we don’t reach the desired number of teams, we will consider other options on how to grade the competition (ie handicap points, incorporating grading rounds etc). Nominations close on 18 April. Rounds are proposed to start on 25 April. If you have any questions please contact us via our Facebook page. Simply search ‘Clermont QLD Senior Netball’ or alternatively contact Katrina on 0408 721 130.
