Nebo resident wins Colours of Isaac A picture painting a peaceful outback setting has pulled at the public’s heart strings and been crowned the 2017 Colours of Isaac photography competition winner. Nebo’s Charley JonesPrizeman’s image of the sun setting over a space with peacefulness won by popular vote on Facebook.
Entries were open to everyone, with keen photographers capturing the theme: Isaac inspires me because.
Ms Jones-Prizeman’s effort won out of a total of 75 entries.
Colours of Isaac photography competition winners:
“I’m truly overwhelmed by the community support. Thank First place: Charley Jones-Prizeman’s photo of the sun you to everyone for voting,” setting over a space with peacefulness she said.
First prize: Charley JonesPrizeman’s sun setting over a space with peacefulness with 133 votes. Second prize: Bree Day’s photo of Lake Elphinstone followed with 127 votes.
“It was fantastic to win especially with all the amazing entries that were submitted.
Third prize: Paula Heelan’s River Run attracted 114 votes.
“Thank you to Isaac Regional Council for helping us showcase our devotion to the region through our imagery.” Voting by ‘likes’ on the Isaac Regional Council Facebook page, closed at 8.30am on Friday, June 16.

Mayor Anne Baker said all entries captured the beauty and variety of Isaac.
The Clermont Historical Centre Open Day will be held this Saturday, July 1 in Clermont and Queensland Music Festival’s The Power Within on July 28-29 in Moranbah.
“From stunning sun rises, to the rich and colourful flora and fauna, the images were truly inspired. “I would like to thank everyone who entered Colours of Isaac this year and congratulate our winners. Third place: Paula Heelan’s River Run “This year’s winners received Visa Gift Cards thanks to Isaac Regional Council.”
