One of the greatest works of the Lord, Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, is to drive out devils There is a genuine and authentic need for deliverance and for people who have the ministry of deliverance; not the office of deliverance The ministry of deliverance is not an office, it is an anointing.

For many years now, there has been an intense leaning towards the message of Deliverance, evident by the strong desire for and reliance on the freedom deliverance brings. This deliverance anointing is a sign of the tangible acts carried out by Jesus Christ.

All believers should have the grace to cast out devils. This capability does not require a unique anointing or a "specialty.” It is a reality depicted in Mark 16:17, encouraging all believers to cast out devils. Jesus proclaimed, "In My name, you shall cast out devils.” Nearly two-thirds of Jesus' ministry was devoted to casting out devils This action is an authentic, powerful move of the Spirit of God. This is a sign of authority given unto believers.

DESTROYINGTHESPIRITOFRELIGION

Luke 10:19, "Behold I grant, give unto you, power over the works of the devil, scorpions, serpents..." This authority has been given to us all as believers This is not a "special grace" We all have the grace and anointing to cast out devils. This has been given unto everybody. This authority and anointing is not about what is written in somebody else's book regarding their revelation, but it is only about what the Bible says.

“These signs will follow those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons.” Mark 16:17-18, NKJV

I attended a service where a Lutheran brother had to deal with a challenge in his congregation. He had someone who had become possessed The man harbored skepticism towards the power of praying in tongues. a belief that was not universally shared among his Lutheran peers, some of whom firmly embraced the practice.

Someone said, "He'll never be able to cast that devil out 'cause he doesn't pray in the Holy Ghost."

Out of my own curiousity, I asked, "Is he a believer?" They looked at me with an expression on their face as if to say, I know you don't believe he can cast out a devil. I don't know why spiritual believers think they can tell others who don't pray in the Holy Ghost that they have no power. “These signs shall follow those that believe.” We have become arrogant in our faith.

God has many gifts in many places, doing many things. I have a friend who is a phenomenal teacher of the Word Many people agree she has an anointing to teach. She has a profound and prolific ministry as a Bible-teacher in her own right I will listen to 98% of her teaching, but we have a different understanding concerning the baptism of the Holy Ghost It's different, but you cannot tell me God is not using her and that she can't cast out

devils. You can't say that. We have become very arrogant in the charismatic and Pentecostal movement with erroneous thinking that people cannot cast out the devil because they do not speak in tongues. You don’t see that in the Word, so you can't say that. A closed-minded person feels that since a person doesn't believe in something that we love and embrace to be helpful to us or doesn't have that revelation or understanding, what they teach isn’t true. No, it doesn't mean what they say is untrue. It doesn't mean I can't listen to them because they don't believe in speaking in tongues.

We need to humble ourselves. We need to stop thinking we have everything in the charismatic-prophetic movement. We don't. God made it that way, lest we be caught up in pride, thinking we are all that and nobody else is anything.

Many people say, "I have the grace to cast out devils." If you are a believer, you have the ability to drive out devils. Don't feel less of a person or less anointed than anybody because you’re not an apostle or prophet. I’m solely a believer. I believe God that in the days to come, that some of the greatest revivals are coming from people in the pews. There will be a shift from the platform to the pews. We’re going to see the spirit of God move over the pews, benches, and streets, moreso than we see in the house of God. We are coming to a place where the house of God will be an instructional place for everybody to learn, grow, worship corporately, and then be sent out for moves to happen on the Earth through us. These signs shall follow those that believe.

The only way to eliminate the spirit of religion is to give them the Word of God. Many people instead of needing deliverance, need to put back what they picked up. Some people picked up things because they didn’t want to submit to God. Let’s face it: you like what you’re doing in your flesh. You thoroughly enjoy it. It doesn’t mean you have a devil.

Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

It just means you are governed, ruled, and love your flesh. You need to fall out of agreement with what your flesh enjoys doing.

THE WORKS OF THE FLESH

Flesh means 'carnal.' The works of carnality or the works of the flesh are things that we like to do in our flesh. These are not spiritual things. Never once did you read of these that say they’re demons. Again, never once is the list we’re reading off saying anything about a demon It didn’t say that If it were that, we would see it written in the Word of God. This is the work of the flesh. The Bible clearly delieneates a list of the works of the flesh

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, and revelries.” Galatians 5:19, NKJV

Wait, a murder is a work of the flesh? That's not a demon? I didn't write this. And witchcraft...is witchcraft not a demon? It can lead to that, but if you look to the scriptures, it's a work of the flesh. If you can work it in your flesh, you can stop it in your flesh. The same applies to the others listed as works of the flesh.

Ten years ago, one of my family members wanted to go to the country buffet. When we arrived, I saw people picking all over the food with their bare hands They were carelessly reaching over, choosing mulitple entrees. Smorgasbord style food disgusts me for this reason. I was standing there looking at the people in line for multiple entrees from the buffet when the Lord said to me, “I want you to write a book.”

So I asked Him, “What would it be called?” He told me, “Creating your own devil.”

I said, “That’s crazy.”

He said, “You see how people are creating their own salads? You go over to get your lettuce, tomato, onions...you get what you want to eat. It’s the same thing with people dealing with the works of their flesh. They will create an appetite for their flesh and then call it a devil.”

IT’S EASIER TO SAYTHEDEVILDIDIT

It’s easier to say you got a devil, go into service, cough it out on the floor, walk away, and be cool. It’s so much easier to do that as opposed to going to the same smorgasbord and taking it off and putting it back on the trays. Why? It takes work to put it back. It takes work to get rid of something.

The Bible says, “Let no man say he’s tempted by God, but when he’s drawn away by his own lust” (James 1:14-17) This isn’t the devil; it’s you.

It’s what you like

It’s what your flesh craves.

You are supplying him the flesh to do what he wants to do. You’re giving the devil the appetite to work with, to bring in a principality or spirit to run rampant in your bloodline and in your soul realm. It didn’t start off as the devil; you created that idea. No, it was something you chose to compile on your plate.

"Well, this entered as a child." That’s a perspective of deliverance, but it’s still a work of the flesh whether you yield to it or not. When something is presented to you, it doesn’t mean you have to eat it. No matter how much hot sauce, barbecue sauce, or vinegar you put on chitterlings, I don’t want to eat or see chitterlings. Nothing against you, but I can’t. If something's inside of you that’s drawing something from the enemy’s table and into your life, that means there is something working in your flesh that’s craving it. Many people are bound today and can simply walk out any moment. All we must do is stop yielding to the flesh.

Chapter 2

WHYAREYOUALWAYS INTHEDELIVERANCELINE?

You have more power upon you to stop yielding to your flesh than you think you do Do you realize that all the people that say they have devils, don’t? You may have a small, lesser demon, like an imp assigned to your life, but you don’t have a devil assigned to your life. Why? Because there aren’t many of him, it’s just one.

Somebody says, “The devil’s been messing with me.”

“Oh, he’s been messing with me too this week.”

He can only get one of you per week. Believe me, not paying your rent is probably the least on the devil’s agenda. He’s probably trying to operate in a system somewhere, in some country, behind some type of leader to bring demise to a generation of people (i.e., Russia and other nations). He may have principalities and powers and rulers of darkness in certain regions that are set up in different camps to do certain things in different places, but he can’t be in every place at one time The devil is not omnipresent

Many of you have become so accustomed with your life and your appetite or with things you’ve picked up from the buffet that you quickly assume, “Oh, it’s the devil.” No, it’s your flesh. No, it's what you want to do. No, it’s not the devil. It's you. The faster you come to grips with thinking it’s your flesh acting up, the faster you come out of it. Many people think they need to go to deliverance sessions and cough up demons every day.

Someone said to me, "I’ve been to nine different deliverance sessions this year."

I said, "Oh wow, how much deliverance did you get?"

They respond, “Every place I go, I get deliverance and demons coming out.”

I said, “You must be a defeated Christian It must be horrible to live a life constantly feeling defeated by demons. Why do you feel the need to be at every deliverance session? You're supposed to be a Christian with authority, power, belief, wisdom, and breakthrough. You’re supposed to be the one casting out devils on your block, but you’re always in a session having devils come out of you? That’s a problem. I don’t believe you had that many demons in you. I don’t believe each time you went into a session, you received deliverance or had a devil. You’ve created one.”

If you believe you have a demon and you let them come into your mind, it will possess your body. The devil needs access; if you give him access, he has it. We shouldn’t want deliverance service forever for Christians, do we? If unbelievers come off the street and have demons, let’s go for it, but if you’re a Christian walking by faith and the spirit of God, why are we always casting devils out of you? Why are you always in the deliverance line?

Paul said, “by the time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God” (Hebrews 5:12, NKJV). Let’s put it into this perspective: by the time you ought to be deliverers, you still need somebody to deliver you. There's no growth in your life. There’s no maturity in your life.

There’s no advancement in your life. There’s no power in your life. I have held mass deliverance services with over 1,000 people in it: I believe in casting out devils. The issue is more Christians are becoming "demonized” than free. That's not just a problem for me; that’s a problem for the Head of the Church who came to set them free. You won’t catch me in deliverance lines. Although, if I’m in a session of deliverance, and there is something present, and it goes, it goes. You won’t catch me seeking out a deliverance line.

Believers need to live in such a realm of maturity where if there is something in your flesh that you need to work out, you can work out your own soul's salvation. You can work out your own soul’s deliverance.

There were times when I needed deliverance, but I never called on a leader of mine to ask, “Hey man, I need you to cast this devil out of me.” And it’s not because I had a devil. First, I try to see if this is the work of the flesh. How do you see if it’s a work of the flesh or not? Stop doing it. Were you able to stop doing it? Fine, then, that was a work of your flesh. Were you not able to stop doing it just by applying some discipline?

Most people don’t want to apply discipline. They don’t want to fast and pray. They don’t want to worship God. Most people want to drive through McDonald’s. They want the Burger King drivethrough. If I go here, you lay hands on me; I cough on the floor, and I leave the room Something I’m finding out, looking back at deliverance videos, excited about the deliverance move, I notice I’m seeing the same people in the room There is no change I’m noticing the same people on many videos. Why is that? Either you are continuing to yield to your flesh, or you are allowing your flesh to govern and rule you to where there’s a spirit in operation. It takes 30 days to make a habit and 21 days to break one. Go on a 21day fast and get rid of your flesh. That’s all you need to do.

In some cases, some of you are calling spirits into your life that don’t apply. You won’t sit down, read the Word, study the Word, and grow up.

STOPCREATINGYOUROWNDEVIL

Ask me how many devils Kenneth E Hagin had cast out of him We’re still reading his books today, aren’t we? Ask me how many devils Oral Roberts had cast out of him. Dwight L. Moody, P.C. Nelson, Billy Graham...all of these fathers of the faith walked with God. They lived a life of character and discipline of their flesh.

When their flesh rose up, they didn’t say, “Oh, I got a devil.”

They said, "Absolutely not, flesh.”

Reflect upon the list in Galatians. It’s black and white. When the works of the flesh are manifested, it brings a result that causes your flesh to want it even more. Stop creating your own devil. This frame of mind towards sin is essentially like those piling on food at a country buffet. It's an attitude of “have it your way and fix your own at the salad bar and then later put what you don't want back.” It's the wrong perspective to have. Don’t pull it from the buffet. Don’t even pursue it.

How does purity and wholeness start and end?

It starts with your flesh and ends with your flesh. It starts with a decision, and it ends with a decision.

How does a breakthrough come?

It starts with a decision.

How does a breakthrough end in your life?

It ends with a decision.

Sometimes, as believers, we like playing games. Suppose a preacher is on a platform and another person is casting the devil out of that preacher. In that case, I’ll interfere before he can lay his hands on me because I want to know how many times

you’ve prayed for someone, and still got demons in you. If you have demons in your life, your soul, and your body then why are you talking to me? Why are you preaching and ministering to me? How do we know you weren’t ministering under an emotional anointing? Were demons leaving you as you spoke?

When someone decides to do what they want to do, that is when those fleshly things begin. Many people cannot distinguish between operating in their flesh versus a demon.

I’ve had people call me, “I blew it, I messed up.”

I’m like, “What’d you do?”

“I had sex with this girl”

I said, “Okay, tell me how it got to that point.”

“Pops, we was hanging out, so we decided to go to the movies”

I responded, “Strike one. ”

He continued, “After the movies, we went to her car and talked. We started hanging out by her car, we were having a good time.”

I say, “Strike two. ”

“Next thing you know, she kissed me.”

I asked him, “What time was it?"

He tells me, “Two in the morning.”

I say, “Strike three. ”

He continued, “Before you know it, we jumped into the back seat doing the horizontal humble.”

I said, "Strike out. "

Number one, you were in a dark place, in a movie theater, at night Number two, you went to the car and started talking at 2:00am. Number three, you started kissing in the morning. Where did you think it would lead? That was not the devil I don't care what nobody says. I will challenge you every day: that was not the devil. That was the intentional crossing of boundaries that should've stopped your flesh. Boundaries were broken and lines were crossed. If they had not been crossed, your flesh would not have been put in a position to do what your flesh wants to do.

Those were not demons. The devil didn’t say, “Oh, I’m going to come up on this car and cause them to sleep around" No, you both had a desire in your flesh to do so. Paul said it this way, “In my flesh dwelleth no good thing” (Romans 7:18, KJV). Paul also said, “We are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh” (Philippians 3:3, KJV).

Paul says, “I die daily to the flesh” (1 Corinthians 15:31). Then, in Romans 7, Paul talks about the two competing natures he finds within himself. He didn't say to demons or demonic powers, he says two natures. I'm finding natures in me that are constantly fighting against each another. There are two natures in me that are warring against one another

I am all for deliverance. I will be the first to say, "Come up and come out,” if there is a reason to say, “Come up and come out”

I’ll come for it. I don’t like the devil; he doesn’t like me. I was looking at some pictures today over dinner from when I died. As I looked closely at the condition I was in, I was getting angrier at the devil. I was not happy.

The struggle within you is not a demon, it’s your flesh. The flesh is your enemy. You’ve got power over Satan. It’s not a devil. It’s your own your flesh that you are struggling with as it wars against and opposes your desire to live for God.

You must tell your flesh, “No, that’s it. I’m not doing it. I’m not going to say that, I’m not going to go there, I’m not going to act like that That’s not God, that's not godly, that’s not Christian character, that’s not upright, that’s not having integrity or godly character”

GOD IS COUNTING ON YOU as revivalists, as prophets, TO BE FREE FROM YOUR FLESH.

I never asked God for an open door. I never asked God for any opportunities. Never.

I simply kill my flesh EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Chapter 3

Many of you are creating your own devil. You need discipline and the Word of God to stand as a mature believer. Then, others can be mature. God is trying to raise you up as the deliverer, but you cannot do that if you’re constantly creating your own devil. You can’t be the deliverer when you’re always drawn away by your lusts, by your flesh. You have got to stop it.

“Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these. I warn you beforehand, as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21, AMP)

These are the natures of your sinful flesh. Abandon the works of your flesh and stop blaming the devil for the things you like to do You’ll never come into any form of deliverance if you like doing what you’re doing. It must start with a decision. Me lying? It’s got to stop. Me being jealous? It’s got to stop. Me being envious has got to stop. Did you notice the Bible lists witchcraft with the works of the flesh? Can it be a spirit? Yes, but it’s listed with the works of the flesh.

THANKYOU,BUTIWON'THAVETHAT

If you make a sacrifice, let it be the sacrifice of your flesh on fire. Let it be the sound of burning flesh. Don’t have the smorgasbord mentality and go grab one of the works of the flesh off the buffet then try to say, “Oops, I grabbed a devil." You don't. You got flesh.

I went to celebrate a birthday with a spiritual son The waitress read off all the cake flavors to us. I let her read off everything the restaurant had that she could bring to the table But I decided after hearing the list I didn’t want any cake whatsoever.

“I’m good,” I told her "Thank you, but I won’t have that”

WE ARE TO WALKINTHESPIRIT

In just the same way, the enemy is trying to read off things to you: resentment, jealousy, backbiting, hatred, lies, lust, perversion, immorality, homosexuality, uncleanliness, all these things that were listed as what? As works of the flesh. The word 'fleshly' means carnal. Paul said, "You are yet carnal Corinthian church," which means you’re fleshly (1 Corinthians 3:1-4, KJV). This doesn’t mean you’re not saved, but you’re walking in carnality. You are walking according to your flesh, not after the spirit If you walk after your flesh, you're going to die a spiritual death. If you’re not careful, a natural death as well. So, we are to walk in the spirit.

Chapter 4

THEDEVILCAN'TMAKEYOUDO ANYTHING

Nearly two-thirds of Paul’s message in the New Testament can be summed up in this, “In my flesh dwelleth no good thing Even when I do good, evil is present” (Romans 7:18-20, NKJV). He wasn’t talking about evil from demons Paul knew he had authority over demons. Paul was trying to have authority over his flesh.

"In the name of Jesus, I command you to loose me now. All manners of demons powers that are treading in my domain, get out of here, in Jesus name."

This is authority. It has nothing to do with you being fleshly or not. You’re not going to live a successful Christian life if you live in your flesh. He wants you to be defeated. The Bible says the way of your transgressions is hardships and things you shouldn’t have to go through, but you’re going to experience them unnecessarily because you choose not to come out of your flesh.

Authority has been given to you as a believer. Does that mean that you have lost your authority to cast out devils and demons or to deal with demons that are coming your way? No. Do you mean to tell me that someone that works in their flesh and moves in their flesh can still bind the devil? Absolutely, why couldn’t they? It has nothing to do with their fleshly walk. Are they going to get in trouble with God for walking in the flesh? Yes, but it doesn’t change their authority.

I met a lady who discussed all the things that she was going through and all the things that she had to do as a result of her circumstances. My response to her was that she needed to stop doing it.

She said to me, “It is the devil that’s making me sleep with this man.” I told her the devil was not making her sleep with that man. The devil is not that powerful

She said, “What do you mean, he’s not that powerful?”

“He’s not that powerful,” I replied.

The devil may influence you to do it, but he can’t make you do anything. He’s not that powerful. Don’t give him more power than he deserves. Remember, we gave him power in the beginning. When God said hold onto your authority over every creeping thing on the Earth is under your feet, you shall name it. We have the authority over him.

When we had the authority over everything, we turned around and gave it to him. Now, Jesus Christ has come to redeem us back and give us authority and power We are not going to do it again The power that you give the devil today will allow him to have the authority to creep over your life, trying to take your authority

The devil doesn’t need to creep around in your backyard looking at your vegetables, he doesn’t have time for that. He’s going to creep around the garden of your life to see if he can gain authority in the garden of your heart that way. He’s already gained the first way. He’s coming a different way to the life of a believer.

The devil will try to strip you of your authority so he can defeat you You may think you don’t have any authority because he can defeat you, the same way he did Adam, just a different route.

INTERNALNATUREVSFLESH

I have one natural son. He has authority in my home. If we have a disagreement, that doesn’t mean he automatically loses his authority as my son. Sure, I may have to check him, but that doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy being in my home and practice his authority in a positive manner here. My son is still who he is to me and nothing is ever going to change that. Sometimes he has a knucklehead, but I don’t strip him of his authority as my son because of it. It’s the same way with God. For example, God is not going to strip you of your authority because you swore. You must get out of your flesh.

Understanding and being able to separate a person’s nature versus their fleshly issues is why I’m successful in training the younger generation. I had a prayer meeting in my office with a group in their early twenties. I was teaching them how to pray and the office got hot As we were interceding, a young lady that was saved only three weeks prior began to praise and give thanks to God. The presence of God quickly began to fill the room. Just a few moments later, she knocked over something and said a swear word. I didn't condemn her, but kept a relaxed attitude.

She still needed to get rid of the flesh. It had ruled over her for 17 years. It doesn’t mean she wasn’t loved and used by God. She just got saved, for crying out loud. Her nature internally had changed, but not her flesh. Some of you aren’t as easy on others as you were on yourself when you were doing what you were doing until God sent someone in your life to disciple you. Now that you've been discipled and have it together, you have 14 whips in your head: that’s hypocritical. You’ll drive more people away from God with that mindset than attract them to Him

It's called discipleship. If someone just got saved, they still need to work their flesh out You need reminders of what we don’t do We need to be discipled and help him work out those things within his soul that will keep his flesh in bondage, and most of it comes from you and decisions.

NOMOREBLAME-SHIFTING

A few years ago, I was preaching for a big conference. I preached on Wednesday, then attended two full days of the conference. By Saturday, I was so exhausted. I decided to stay at my staff member's home. As I’m sitting on the couch leaning over, suddenly, I sit up. At that point, I realized I was still sleeping and the Head of the Church was standing in front of me.

Whenever there’s a visitation from Jesus, it’s a spiritual experience and the flesh is barely involved. I know this because when I died and went to heaven, I stood attentively to the voice of God without Him moving His mouth. The Head of the Church just spoke:

“Everyone doesn’t need deliverance. For some, they only need to make a decision. If they cannot make a decision, then deliverance is necessary.”

God wants to do something in your life.

The Lord says, “I want to make you the deliverer, the vessel, the one that sets the captives free. This is the day and hour to advance. This is the time to advance, but you cannot be giving any opportunity to the devil."

It’s a trick of the devil to make some of you think that you don't have authority over him. It’s deception. Galatians 5:1 says, “Stand fast, in the Liberty for which Christ has made you free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” How do you get entangled again? Keep going back to your flesh.

Stop creating your own devil by blaming the works of the flesh You are stronger than all demons and principalities. Don’t blame things on people, places, and spaces. It's not really that. You carry more power than you think you do. You're more impactful than you think you are. You're stronger than you think you are. You’re more gracious than you think you are. You're more of a threat to the enemy than you think you are. You were made in the image of the Lord, His Son. The only way He can see otherwise is if you’re claiming otherwise. He sees you pure before God.

Take responsibility and stop saying that the devil made you do something No more blame-shifting syndrome What did Adam say? It was the woman. What did the woman say? The serpent.

The devil is like, I guess I can’t put this on anybody else. I guess it’s me. There was nobody else to blame.

The last thing I say to God when I’m getting dealt with by Him is, “Remember, Lord, I’m still trying to come through and get over my past from 30 years ago.”

The works of your flesh must come to an end. God needs your voice. God needs you to operate and function on this Earth like He desires you to. You are needed. You are wanted.

We live for so many years in a blame-shifting mentality. “God, the devil made me do it, I’m so sorry” I’ve come to realize that the devil has not or cannot make you do anything.

THEDEVILCAN'TMAKEYOU

If the devil could make you do anything, he’d make you kill yourself He can suggest things, but he cannot make you do anything. We have been going around with a mentality of ‘the devil made me do it’ Then, we discover some verses in scripture that help us to realize what we have been calling the devil has been nothing but the works of our flesh and being drawn away with our own desires and temptations. No matter how much you minister the Word, there are people that will continue to believe what they believe regardless.

Sometimes people will say, “So and so does it this way and they got a billion followers.” That don’t mean nothing. It doesn’t matter how many followers you have. There was one prophet of God on Mount Carmel. There were 450 prophets of Baal. I have always pursued an organic move of God because that is the move of God that people are drawn to You don’t have to go around and recruit when people are drawn to what God is doing. When people are drawn, they tend to stay

Having followers doesn’t mean someone is legitimate. Having followers doesn’t mean someone or their movement is of God What the prophets of Baal did was demonic and not of God. You could never, ever equate what is right based off who is following or who is saying it.

It must be based off the Word of God. If it’s not based off the Holy, written Word of God, I don’t care who wrote it. Throw it out the window if it doesn’t line up in the Word of God, it doesn’t count. You can’t just make up your own thing as we go here.

Chapter 5

THEWORDOFGODISTHE FINALAUTHORITY

You can’t just determine what’s going to go and what’s not. It isn’t your choice It is the doctrine of the Word of God It is the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s not what you think or how you feel. There are things my flesh doesn’t really care for It’s the word of God that's dealing with it. My flesh doesn't particularly like it or agree with it, but I must get it done. It must get done. It’s not based off how many followers are doing it.

“Well, everybody's doing it.”

That's the problem right there. Everybody could be doing it wrong. The word of God is always the final authority. It is the Word of God that will never leave. Forever, oh Lord, Your word is settled. It’s always the Word of God that is always going to stay. We must base our lives off the Word of God.

I find that people have problems with what is written in the Word because they are looking too far into it They will say to themselves, “Surely this can’t be this simple. Surely the power of

God can’t be this simple. Surely righteousness can’t be this easy. Surely the things of the Lord cannot be this easy” God didn’t intend for it to be so difficult that you couldn’t figure it out.

Yes, there are some scriptures that require more digging, you need to go deeper into it, to understand. Then, there are some scriptures that a child can understand. I mean you would be rebellious not to try to understand. I mean it’s just black and white. It is what it is. There’s absolutely nothing to add to it.

The Word of God has stood the test of time. I am a living example. I died and came back. The Word of God has always stood the test of time. It has always stood its trial run. The Word of God has always been the final authority. The Word of God, when acted upon, will always bring the right result You can know the Word and not act on it. The Word of God, when acted upon, will always bring a favorable result or the result that you are believing God for It’s important that our only standard is the Word of God.

I’ve heard people argue about righteousness because they don’t get how it can be so simple. The response is the same: God wants you to understand it. It’s not something He does not want you to know. Certain things are black and white, in plain sight, for you. This gives you an understanding and it gives you a clarity that this is exactly what God is saying.

INMYFLESHDWELLSNOGOODTHING

You can live in the realm of the flesh so long to where your flesh can open the door for destructive patterns to begin. These destructive patterns will only lead to living a destructive life. You’ve got to make up your mind and say to yourself, “I’ve got to get myself together. I’ve got to deal with some things in my flesh.” The apostle Paul made it clear, “in my flesh dwells no good thing" (Romans 7:18) What does Philippians 3:3 say? "We have no confidence in the flesh. " Nothing good, nothing fruitful dwells

within my flesh. He is clear about what the works of the flesh will do This scripture also states that, “We are the circumcision, we worship God in the Spirit and have no confidence in the flesh.” Paul is saying don't put no confidence in it. Do not confide in it.

CONVERSATIONSWITHTHEFLESH

Confidence means ‘to confide,’ which in this context means do not confide or have counsel in your flesh. I don't confide in my flesh because my flesh is always going to side with what is not right.

This is why the flesh must be made to do what is supposed to do. The flesh must be made to submit. It has not always been that way but over the course of life when the fall of man happened, the flesh became an open gate for the enemy to try to operate. Even then, he needs your permission to do so. The work of the flesh can create an open door for an oppression. No, not a possession, but an oppression of the soulish realm which consists of the mind, will, and emotions of the believer.

Many people think the devil has carpe blanche over your life

That's not the case many people think that you know the devil has this and he has that, he doesn’t He has what you give him The rope you give him, he will use against you. The ground you give him will be the very ground he uses to destroy you, but you must give him permission first.

This is why there's a constant war in the members of the body. There's a war in the flesh. Your flesh is always desiring to do what it wants to do, whether it was turned on or whether you just began to adopt certain appetites in your flesh.

What do I mean by turned on? For example, if you were molested by an aunt or an uncle, or in my case…both. At seven years old, things turned on in my flesh that never should have been turned on, ever, in life Never It is never supposed to exist but an entrance way from someone who had either flesh or demons-

probably a little bit of both-it was embedded or introduced into the fleshly realm; so, therefore, my war is not in the spirit, but in the flesh. I tell it to shut up, sit down, be quiet. I live a fasted life. That's why I live the life I do before the Lord. If you don’t have conversations with your flesh, I can guarantee your flesh is out of control.

Sometimes you must tell your flesh, “I am very sorry, but we're not doing that. Kings don't do that.” Kingdom citizens of the Kingdom of God, we are at a higher standard. We don't stoop down to that.

It is important to have these conversations with your flesh. It’s important that you deal with the natures that you know are in your flesh Don’t try to hide it, deal with it Don’t try to cover it up and put cologne on top of it. I don't care how much spray you put in the house or how much vinegar you cook your chitlins with, there's always going to be an odor.

PUTTINGCOLOGNEONFUNK

My baby brother and his wife had just gotten married and moved into their new house I came to stay with them for three or four days. I was staying on the couch downstairs. He looks just like me. His name is Jason. In the middle of the night, I smelt the worst smell I had ever smelled in my life. A skunk had been under the house. Apparently, my walking startled the skunk. The skunk let out a spray and it came through the entire house.

I had to preach the next day. Jason, Vanessa, and I went to church service together. We walked to the doors of the church and the greeter said to us, “You all stink.” We could not smell the odor of the skunk who had sprayed the house because we had become so accustomed to it. We had put on an extra bit of cologne and my sister-in-law had put on an extra bit of perfume We thought it was going to cover the smell, but it did not. It still stunk. It’s the same thing in our walk with God Our flesh stinks it does!

It stinks to God, and it stinks to us. No matter how much cologne you put on it

Your works are like that cologne: trying to work yourself to be righteous. All you’re doing is putting cologne on funk. The only thing that is going to get that smell out is the blood of Jesus. You need to take a blood bath. What can wash away the sins of the world? The Blood of Jesus! He was the last lamb to be sacrificed for the sins of the world. We no longer need the blood of bulls, goats, pigeons, and doves. We have the blood of the last lamb: Jesus.

The flesh must be held accountable. There is only one person who can hold the flesh accountable for its actions. And that is you. You are the governor of your own flesh. I cannot tell you what to do and you cannot tell me what to do It is ultimately you that makes the decision on how you’re going to be governed and how you’re going to live

“Well, dear brother in the Lord, I don’t have any kind of sexual sins, uncleanliness, in my life.”

Proverbs 6:16-19 says, "These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren."

There is more to flesh than just sexual sins, cursing, fighting, and jealousy. Years ago, I was in a service preaching and this young couple was around a table talking. They were in love. I told them they made a pretty couple They said, “Thank you, sir”

He said, “Yes, we are both virgins.”

Everyone clapped and smiled Then, suddenly, I smelled sin I smiled. They were a beautiful couple. I asked the Lord, “What is this about?” We were sitting there eating. As we were eating, the smell got worse. The Lord told me, that is their flesh.

I said to myself, “Wait a minute, if they’re not having sex…they said they are virgins…”

They were talking about virginity at the table, how they had been kept Then they asked me, “Brother Marqus, what do you think?” I was trying to be quiet.

I said, “I’m glad you guys are virgins. It’s wonderful. These days, we have people who are virgins and that’s a wonderful thing, yet they are doing everything else but that.”

The ladies fork dropped, literally.

Everyone looked, “You okay?”

She said, “Oh yah, I’m fine.”

I didn’t just stop there. I continued to say, “There’s a lot of virgins around the world that are still…penetration isn’t going on but they are still rubbing against each other and touching every other place and doing all those other things That is still flesh” She still could not get herself together. He had an excellent poker face. She did not He kept looking at her like, “What is wrong with you?”

I pulled them to the side later. He became a spiritual son after a while. I said, “Are you still a virgin?”

He said, “Yes, sir.”

I said, “I’m going to tell you this: years ago, when we were sitting at that table, I was so convicted. We were hugging and rubbing in our car.”

I said, “Well, there you go. That is flesh and it stinks.”

He said, “Since that day at the table, we have not. We have honored each other.”

I said, “Thank the Lord for that.”

Some of you are sitting there reasoning with yourself: “Well, I don’t do this or that. And I definitely do not do that.”

Well, what are you doing that you need to eradicate from your flesh? Proverbs 6:16 doesn’t say, “These six things the Lord doesn’t like.” It says, These are six things the Lord hates. Seven are an abomination to Him.” There are certain things the Lord is just not cool about. Guess what? All of those are not mentioned as demons. It’s the flesh. These are things that operate in your flesh.

When someone comes up to me and says, “This person has a spirit of pride on them”

I first ask, “Is this a spirit of pride or is this just them acting in a prideful way?” I mean before you declare a spirit, sometimes you need to declare, “Get out of your flesh.” It’s just that easy.

Don’t make the call. Don’t watch what you’re not supposed to be watching. Don’t listen to certain music. Don’t be jealous. You can purpose in your heart not to be jealous. Just because someone was jealous one time does not mean they have a jealous spirit.

We over-spiritualize stuff. We make it so complicated. We want to make you come into a service, cough up 9,000 demons, and you done called 9,000 demons that a person doesn’t even have. They don’t have a jealous spirit, they just need to come out of their flesh and stop acting jealous.

You built a whole doctrine that is not in the Word It’s not Find it, it’s not there. You built a whole doctrine that is not scriptural. This is driving a lot of Christians and believers who are supposed to be walking in a lot of power and authority…it has driven them to the altar to keep talking about how many demons they have.

When the unbeliever come in, they look and ask themselves, “What is the use? You have been saved for 35 years and you still have 100 devils. I just got saved 3 days ago. There isn’t any room for me.”

Is there ever a time when I obtain complete victory and deliverance? Yes, you just need to control your flesh. Deal with the flesh Say, “Stop, no Don’t do that Don’t say that”

Chapter 6

HEREISYOURDELIVERANCE:SAYNO

Some people are pretending to have demons. Let’s look for total freedom There is a blame-shifting game that many people get in today: “The devil made me do it.”

I look in their face and say, “You’re a liar You did that because you wanted to do that. You methodically planned it out because it is in your nature, your fleshly, Adamic nature.”

You know how you come out of the flesh? Go on a fast. Fasting doesn’t changing God’s mind. Fasting changes your mind. You don’t fast just to be fasting. You fast when you are led by the Spirit to do so, else you end up in some trouble.

I remember the Lord told me to go on an 81-day fast last year. I had to drink something, but it wasn’t food. The doctors said, “You can’t do that.” I did it. I had the strength to be able to complete it because I was led by the Spirit to do it. Some of y’all be doing stuff just to appear spiritual It’s not going to work if you weren’t led by the Spirit. I fast when my flesh is out of control.

If the flesh keeps talking back to me, I’m like, “Oh. I got something for you I’m going to starve you out” I know it’s nothing but the natural man wanting to gain attraction, wanting to gain a voice, wanting to gain victory, and I’m not going to let you do it. God’s victory in your life is not relying on you coughing up a demon. God’s victory in your flesh is predicated on you controlling and bringing your flesh under subjection to the Word of God. You must give your flesh something else to be governed by other than itself to gain control. It would be like giving me the key to the banana pudding room and telling me to guard it. That’s not going to work. Why? I now have access to everything that my flesh desires and that is banana pudding.

You’re telling your flesh, “Here, you’re in charge” You must give someone else authority, which is either the Word of God or the Spirit of God Romans 8:13 says, "You have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live."

I’m losing weight right now. I could tell when I put on my clothes today. I can hide it with my clothes well, but when I get out of the shower, I stand in the mirror and can see I still have a lot more progress to make. A mirror will show you that you have a lot of work to do. You’re doing good, you’re losing the weight, but don’t stop here. When you look into the mirror of the Word of God, it shows you you’re doing good, but don’t stop here, you still have a way to go

I went to a church for three years. I sat in seat 002, for two years in the midst of thousands of people I saw people come every single week for the same deliverance. Every week! I would ask myself, “What is going on here?”

On a Tuesday, we’d have hundreds of people in church…four to five hundred people in a service for a Bible study night. The pastor would finish preaching and he would say, “Alright, if you came for

deliverance, come up.” The altar would be flooded. It’s a deliverance ministry, so this type of response can be expected since the church carries the mantle of deliverance.

People would say, “I drove all the way from Ohio to be here.”

“I got on a plane and came all the way from Texas.” I’d be like, wow, really?

One day, I filled in for the pastor because he was gone overseas. There were about 2,000 people in the church. People were coming up to me in the back and asking if they could speak to him. They’d say, “He isn’t here. Marqus Beaver is preaching.”

People would fly halfway across the world for deliverance It becomes a thing to the body of Christ where we must have a codependency on pastors to get deliverance

God is saying, “Would you just open your Word? Would you just pray in the Spirit?”

Let’s mortify the deeds of your flesh first and then let’s see what is left over. Let’s kill off those deeds. Let’s deal with those natures that you have allowed to run rampant for the last twenty years. That wasn’t a demon, you just kept yielding to your flesh for twenty years. If you give a baby candy, then tell the baby give the candy back. You’re going to have a fight on your hands. It does not please God. You should have your mind made up and set, “Man, I’m not pleased with this way of thinking.”

PRESENT YOURBODY

People will say to me, “It seems like you have mastered the way of the flesh.” No. I haven’t mastered the flesh, I just know what I need to do to kill it I haven’t mastered it The only time I have mastered the flesh is March 4, 2021 at 12:28pm when I was in heaven and I had the victory over it The minute I came back to the earth, I still had to contend with my flesh.

WHY DO WE NEED DELIVERANCE

NINE TO FIVE EVERYDAY?

Here's why: we have not TAKENAUTHORITYOVERYOURFLESH. Then, you get authority over it, so you go home. Six weeks later, you're back at the same service...

TRYING TO "GET DELIVERANCE."

I am in the flesh. I don’t live in it, but I am in it. Since I am in it, I have to deal with its natures This is not just the natures of Marqus, this is the nature of David Beaver, Sr. This is the nature of Saul. This is the nature of Willy, who owned an orchard and became a black millionaire. The orchard was left by a white man to a black slave, which is unheard of. This is the result of that.

He left it at a time where you didn’t do that, and he gave it to him. This was the result of what? All the way up until we get to Adam. There is the culprit. These issues of your flesh you are dealing with is a result of the Adamic nature of the first one. God says, “Go back into the embedding of your flesh, into those natures, that you may be pleasing unto Me.”

You can’t pay for righteousness The Pharisees tried and Jesus said, “Your righteousness is like a filthy rag.” You stink. Also, the pride of man saying, “Well, I’m right I do everything right” That is not why you are right. That’s not why you have righteousness. You don’t have righteousness because you do everything right, that’s the Pharisee’s righteousness. That’s the righteousness of men.

“I thank my God that I do right more than all of you. I thank my God that I am better than every last one of you because I always do right.” This is the filthiness of the righteousness of the Pharisees. You are not righteous because of what you did or do. Your righteousness cannot come from yourself. It can’t come from you, it’s automatically disqualified.

You don’t have one hundred percent of God’s DNA, nor were you born to a sinless virgin It can’t come from you It has to come by the Spirit of God. It can only come from one place: the Lamb, Jesus. Righteousness came as a result of Jesus Christ

So you ask, “Marqus, what do I do?” You present your body. Romans 12:1, "present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God." That’s what you do, which means you must tell your flesh, “No.”

If you get in your flesh, you tell your flesh again, “No.”

Here comes that flesh again, “No.”

Then it comes again You say, “No”

YOURFLESHWILLJUMP

My dog, Bentley will sleep while I talk and preach He understands the word ‘no.’ He will take a run for my foot. I say, “No.”

He will stop He will jump on me when it is an opportune time, but he understands, “No means no.” Although he may try to do it, no means no. He may go ahead and do it anyway. So I must put him in a cage or do something to show him that the word ‘no’ means ‘no,’ whether I say it with a smile, with authority, or if I look at you and say no. It all means ‘no.’

It is the same thing in the flesh. You can say the same thing to your flesh and it’ll go on about its business as if you never said anything. You can say ‘no’ to your flesh in similar manners as you would your pet, like I do with Bentley. Your flesh will jump at the opportune moment. That is when you must shout, “No!” with authority and intent, not with a smile

All times, you need to be clear: “I’m not giving you the ground that you desire to walk on”

Weed smokers? Drunkards? They’ll say, “Well, this isn’t sin.”

It’s not good for you. It doesn’t belong. It’ll ruin your witness. It’ll ruin your health. It may be a gray area, but it certainly doesn’t belong in the life of a believer.

Chapter 7

STARTBEINGTHEDELIVERER

This is such a crucial time.

God wants your flesh He wants it to be so pleasing unto Him He wants it to be so much His. It can be. It will be. But that is your choice You have authority over your flesh God doesn’t have authority over your flesh. You have that authority. You must give Him your flesh.

“Marqus Beaver doesn’t believe in deliverance, oh my goodness!”

I never said that. I do believe a lot of this ‘deliverance’ Christians are going through and calling demons, I don’t believe it is demons. It’s a work of your flesh. You need to stop, shut it down, and walk in the holiness that you were called to live.

If you want a demon, you will get one. He will gladly hand you one. One of my favorite scriptures is, “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” We are not doing a lot of resisting We would not be demonically oppressed if we did a lot of resisting. It comes from a lack of submission.

We are not doing a lot of resisting the devil. We would not be demonically oppressed if we consistently resisted the devil. If you want a demon, you will get one. He will gladly hand you one. One of my favorite scriptures is James 4:7, “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” The real problem is a lack of submission.

You know why you’re not able to resist? You didn’t submit. You know why you couldn’t overcome? You didn’t submit. The Bible says, “There is no temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it" (1 Corinthians 10:13)

There is a temptation realm before there is a demonic realm. You are tempted by your own flesh. When you get tempted, there is a decision-making process that you undergo. I’m going to tell you right now, you can say no. You may not want to say no, but you can because you have the power to say no.

Tell me, what is your problem again? God is telling me, get off the deliverance session and start being the deliverer. If I was in a conference and you were on the front, moments earlier, with your head spinning backwards, you were throwing up, coughing up, levitating from the ground, and you came over there and prayed for me I’d say, “If you don’t take your hands off of me, I don’t know where and what you just did…”

You may say, “Well, deliverance should be welcome” Yes, to those who need it. You need to control your flesh. You need to stop masturbating, that’s what you need to do. You need to stop getting drunk. You need to stop smoking weed. You need to stop getting high on drugs. You need to control your emotions, so you’ll

stop ending up in a sexual act every single weekend. You need to stop dropping it like it’s hot.

You say you need deliverance. It’s the old blame shifting game when you sin then say, “Well, I’ll just go get some deliverance.” You don’t need deliverance. You need to stop opening the door to your flesh. Here is your deliverance: say, “No!” Say, “No way!”

I got bells and whistles that go off on the inside of me. I got this text from someone; I don’t even know how they got my number. They were texting me all kinds of stuff. I didn’t respond, but it kept popping up on my screen I kept trying to figure out who it was Finally, after fifteen minutes, I saved the name as, “Dodo,” and I blocked him I don’t know who it was You need blockers in your life: people that can block and then you need the Holy Ghost to help you be the blocker.

ITISWRITTEN

What did Jesus do? Jesus was tempted three times after fasting. The enemy said, “Hey, You’re hungry and You are the Son of Man, cast them stones into bread and eat it.”

What did Jesus say? “It is written.”

Jesus used the Word of God each time. The devil didn’t make Him, he suggested it, based off his own desire to have food. The enemy used Jesus’ desires to draw the Lord

Jesus responded, “It is written, man shall not live on bread alone, but every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” Yikes, strike one.

The enemy said a second time, “Hey, you throw Yourself off here, the angels shall encamp around you.”

Jesus, once again, “It is written, thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God.” He had a word for every word the enemy had for him. Jesus didn’t say, “Well, I guess I can.”

Jesus didn’t say, “Oh the devil made me do it.”

The devil doesn’t make you do anything. He only suggests what he knows your flesh has a desire for at that moment. Each time Jesus used the Word. If you are going to win you are going to have to use the Word, each time. The Word or the Spirit will be the factor. It will be the source of power that breaks through.

James 1:14 states, “Every man every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” He is drawn away by his own lust, his own desire. The devil would never tempt me with oatmeal. If I’m on a fast, he is going to use a sausage or pepperoni pizza. He will use a pizza with some green peppers and pepperoni. The devil knows I’m fasting. He is going to use what will be a temptation unto you.

Don’t get so caught up with things that you have the ability to stop in the flesh. Eradicate it. Kill it. Don’t play with it. Don’t joke about it Just kill it Kill it dead

Your flesh is needed. Paul said by the time you all should be teachers; somebody is still teaching you. The time you should be up at the altar delivering the next generation, you are on the altar. That’s not a cut down to keep you from the altar, it’s a lesson. Get up off the altar, so you can be the offering and do what God wants you to do.

A lady came to my church on a Wednesday night, I was doing a massive deliverance session. There were hundreds of people coming. This was about ten years ago. The place was filled. I came out on the platform ministering after the worship team.

I said, “God wants to deliver you tonight God wants to set you free. The power of the anointing comes to destroy the yoke of bondage on your life tonight”

I was preaching strong and the power of God was moving through the building. I prayed for these people and they were getting delivered.

This lady walked up to me, “Pray for me, please.”

I said, “What’s wrong? What is going on with you?”

She was in tears, “I’ve been to several deliverance sessions.”

She started to list several different ministers

I stopped her and asked, “Well then, what are you doing here?” I was being bold and transparent with her.

YOUDONOTHAVEADEMON

I said, “First of all, if you went to deliverance sessions with those specific leaders, you should be okay. So why then did you turn around and go to another? I mean, their babies can cast your demons out, even the greeters at Crusaders can drive demons out. The security team, the parking lot attendants, they can all drive your demons out over there!”

She told me, “Yes, I’m just a little better so I decided to come here.”

I said, “Ma’am, you do not have a demon.”

She said, “Oh yes, I do. I feel it.”

I said, “No, you do not have a demon. You have an issue in your mind The devil keeps telling you that you have a demon You keep listening to him and accepting it as truth. So now you think you got one”

I continued. “Are you a believer? And do you love the Lord?”

I said, “Well, there is your problem right there. Your flesh needs an answer and it can only come by the Word or the Holy Spirit.”

Chapter 8

YOUKEEPOPENINGTHEDOOR

We are spending a whole lot of time naming, claiming, and conversating with demons when you need to have a conversation with yourself. You need a have a conversation with yourself and then look to the Lord and say, “Lord, I want to mature.”

Personal prophecy is the lowest form of the prophet’s office. A Christian that needs deliverance every single time is an immature Christian. A person that has to go to prophecy to live is an immature believer, they are a baby Christian. A person that needs deliverance from everything, all the time, every single time, is like a child that keeps getting caught up in something they have no business being caught up in. “Oh, here we go again.” Over and over and over again that’s not maturity

Maturity says, “I’m going to live by the Word of God. I’m going to walk by the Word of God I’m going to live a victorious life by the Word of God so that when the generation that comes from the street that needs deliverance, I am able to say, “Come here I can help you with that.”

I’m not understanding how you get on a platform and you get the devil cast out of you. Who is going to cast out the devils of the unbeliever? Who is going to cast out the demons of those levitating in the air? How can Satan cast out Satan? If there is a demon in you, how is a demon going to cast out other demons?

Jesus said, “These signs shall follow those that believe in My name.” A lot of what we think is demonic, is nothing but your flesh. You are continuing to yield to it, give it place, and giving it space. You keep opening the door. You keep giving it more and more space Just when you say, “Oh, the door is shut” Here you go again You start giving it space in your mindset.

Your thoughts start leading you. Then it goes from your thoughts to your actions. You start acting on your thoughts. Then your actions become your habits. Even when you have habits, that’s not a devil just yet. Then, your character begins to form. Your character is who you are. Now, you need deliverance because it has become your character.

Just because you made a mistake or fall into sin, doesn’t mean you need to cough up a devil You won’t find it in scriptures Before I open my mouth, you better believe I study the Word.

I don’t study other people’s platforms, I don’t study what other people say, I study the Word of God. Brother Hagin taught us, “You all better build off the Word of God. Do not build off fads or systems or what other people think. Build off the Word of God alone and Jesus will make sure it stands.”

Just because a person curses: ”Oh, you have a cursing spirit.”

I’m like, “What? Where did you get that from?”

“Well, so and so says if a person curses, they have a cursing spirit.” There’s your problem: so and so said it.

STOP WORKING YOUR FLESH AND THAT ACTIVITY WILLSTOP

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, selfcontrol. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16-25, NKJV

Character is a fixed, predictable image which means we can predict when you open your mouth, we can predict you will lie. You need some straight deliverance because you are a liar. You are not a liar because you lie one time. If that’s the case, hello liars. There’s a bunch of liars in the room. If you have a lying spirit because you lied one time, If you tell one lie, that doesn’t make you a liar. That means you told a lie. That means the flesh wanted to lie and he yielded to his flesh. It doesn’t mean you have a lying spirit. That is spooky, flaky, and it is not Bible. I just read what the Bible says.

“Marqus, why are you so passionate about this?” Because the Lord is. There are so many people walking around in their flesh, pointing their finger at stuff that isn’t even there. It’s you.

When we get to the root of the problem, we can get it solved. Paul said, “In my flesh.” He didn’t say he had a demon. “In my flesh is evil.” I learned to beat my body under subjection. I’ve learned to crucify my body. I’ve learned to deal with my thoughts, actions, and habits so it won’t become my predictable image and character. I’ve learned to beat my what? My flesh. The beating process of the devil has been taken care of already over 2,000 years ago. That was already done. He beat you to the punch.

YOUR FLESH IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM

Jesus took care of the devil and you have authority over him. Your biggest problem is the one that wakes up with you everyday. It is your flesh. It’s your decisions that you are making. You get mad and manifest, that’s a demon Not one thing have I spoken is outside of God’s word. If you are mad, it’s because you refuse to see the Word of God for itself You got your mind set and it’s not Bible The Bible says heaven and earth will pass away. All that is going to pass away, but the Word of God will forever stay.

God wants you to be free in your flesh, get your flesh together.

That is a process that happens when you make that decision to get out of your flesh. I think it’s amazing how many people have been to numerous deliverance conferences, and they are still bound. That’s bad. That’s a problem. You need to grow up.

Deliverance is real, but you gotta stop shifting the blame to a demon, when you really need to say, “Lord, I got a flesh problem. Lord, it’s me. I gotta stop doing this. I gotta stop thinking this way.

If I don’t stop thinking this way, I’ll start acting this way. If I start acting this way, then it’s really going to be a time for deliverance because guess what, it’s going to be my character.”

If I can predict who you are, that’s character It's going to be fixed. It’s going to be predictable. I have a brother, he used to say, “I’ll be there in twenty minutes.” I would go lay back down in the bed because I knew his twenty minutes meant two or three hours. His twenty minutes literally meant two or three hours. It was so fixed and predictable, I knew when he was coming, I knew when he wasn’t coming. I knew when he was lying, I knew when he was telling me the truth.

I gotta spiritual son. I don’t know what he does, I get there an hour later. I have to threaten him, “Son, we are leaving in ten minutes.” Rodney would be in there for another hour like it’s nothing, a whole ‘nother sixty minutes like what I said to him didn’t mean a hill of beans. It’s not until I text him and say, “Hey, we have left You can meet us there”

Then, he will say, “I’m coming outside.”

Then the door opens up and he comes running out the door because he knows Marqus Beaver is not playing. When I say we are going, we are outta here. Character is fixed and predictable.

There are things about me that reveal my character as well. My sons will ask, “Hey, can I borrow $100?”

Then I’ll say, “Yah, just call me later.”

My son quickly responds like, “No sir. Dad, I love you, but that

means you’re tired and you don’t want to give me a no, but you’ll deal with me tomorrow or two days later.”

I said to my son, “Really?”

He says, “Yah, you’re not finna give me that right now, but I need it right now. If you say, ‘Yah, send me a request,’ that means you will send it right that moment.

If you say, “Okay, give me a second, I’m on clubhouse,” that means when I get off clubhouse, you better call me back again and you’ll get it.

So he knows when and when not to ask what my son means is that I am fixed and predictable.

DELIVERANCE IS REAL, BUT STOP SHIFTING THE BLAME TO A DEMON when you really need to say, LORD, I GOT A FLESH PROBLEM. LORD, IT’S ME. I GOTTA STOP

DOING THIS. I GOTTA STOP THINKING THIS WAY.

Chapter 9

WALKINTHESPIRITSOGODCANUSEYOU

Most spiritual sons and daughters of mine say, “You have mastered the flesh.”

I tell them, “No, I didn’t. I learned how to deal with what I need to deal with to kill what I need to kill. You will never master the flesh until you leave the earth. It’s always going to be there. It’s your earth suit to get around. You just have to learn how to deal with you. I learned how to deal with Marqus. You have to learn how to deal with your own flesh. I learned how to deal with me so that I am done preaching, I’m not a castaway. So when I’m done preaching, there is nothing hanging. So you have to deal with yourself. The only person who can teach you how to deal with you, is you

A couple called me the other day, they had been married for twenty years He is like my real son What the problem is? You’re trying to win an argument in a fight. This all goes back to one thing people Flesh You want your way, and you can’t see no other way but yours. That’s flesh, that’s not humility.

The answer to about, well, I’m going to say 100%, about 96% of things, is your flesh. It’s either pride, the lust of the eye, etc.

It’s not really the devil, it’s your flesh.

“The devil is messing with me.” No, I don’t think he is. I think it’s you. Now I’m not giving the devil a pass. I don’t like him. He don’t like me.

I’ll tell the devil, “I don’t like you. I can’t stand you. You’re evil, deceitful, lying, thief. I don’t like liars or thieves, so I definitely don’t like the father of lies and thieves. We ain’t got nothing in common, Jack Don’t come over here, you’ll get your head busted” That’s how I talk to him. You run up on this, and I’m going to show you. I don’t argue with him I don’t have conversations with the devil

I don’t like the devil. I have had deliverance sessions at my church, on the clubhouse app, everywhere I minister. Do not think I am against deliverance. I’m not. I am a deliverance ministry gift. I’m just against it if you stay in the altar and need deliverance 24/7 and you cannot be a deliverer. If that is the case, that means you are continuing to yield to your flesh and you need to come out of agreement with your flesh. I long for Christ to be formed in you. I want you to get this, so it is no longer you who they see in you, but it is Christ. You need to start walking in the Spirit so that God can use you.
