Abstract - Facerecognitionisasmartandmodernwaytoprotectvehicles.Ratherthandependingonkeysorpasswordsthat caneasilygomissingorbemisused,thissystemsimplyrecognizestheperson’sfacetogiveaccess.Thismakesitmuchharder foranyoneelsetogetintoorstartthecar.Onlypeoplewhoarerecognizedandapprovedcanaccessthevehicle,whichaddsa stronglayerofsecurity.Italsomakesthingseasierfortheowner,sincetheydon’thavetocarryorrememberanythingextra.As technologycontinuestogrow,facerecognitionwilllikelybecomearegularandtrustedfeatureinmanycars.

Imagineyourcarknowingyourfacelikeatrustedfriend.That’stheideabehindaface-recognitionsecuritysysteminvehicles. Youdon’thavetosearchforakeyorrememberapassword yourfacedoesallthework.Whenyouapproachthecarorsettle intothedriver’sseat,a tiny camera nearthedoorordashboardtakesa quick lookatyourface.Itthenchecks tosee ifit matchesafaceitalreadyhasstored.Ifitseesamatch,thecaropensupandpreparestostart.Ifitdoesn’trecognizeyourface, thecarstayslockedandmightsendamessagetotheownerthatsomething’snotright.
Thisisn’tjustacooltechfeature itactuallymakesyourcarmoresecure.Sinceyourfaceisunique,it’smuchharderfor someoneelsetogetaccessordriveawaywithoutpermission
TippartiAnilKumar,YPrithviMurthy,ChYashwanthGoud,NHarshaVardhansaysthatfacialrecognitiontounlock andstartcars,replacingtraditionalkeysforbettersecurity.Thesystemworksbyrecognizingthedriver'sfaceusing computervision,eveninlowlight,andincludesfeaturestopreventhackingorspoofing.UnlikeRFIDorfingerprint systems,whichcanbehackedordamaged,thisfacialrecognitionsystemisasecure,practicalsolutionforcaraccess. Testsshowitisreliableandefficient.
Prof.PranaliLangde,NikhilDharpure,KanchanBashine,SnehalBhowate,PoonamGajbhiye,SamikshaPaidlewarsays thatAscartheftsincrease,anewvehiclesecuritysystemusesfacedetectiontopreventunauthorizedaccess.Whena personsitsinthedriver'sseat,ahiddencameracapturestheirfaceandchecksitagainstastoredimage.Ifthefaceis unrecognized,thesystemsendsanalertwiththeperson'sphotototheownerandkeepstheignitionlocked.Ifthe personisverified,theignitionunlocks,allowingthecartostart.Thissystemoffersareal-time,effectivesolutionto protectvehiclesfromtheft.
ChandanAD,ChiranthGowdaAB,SanjuMG,UmmeJaveriyaR,ShilpaRsaysthatWiththeftsandfraudontherise, there’saneedforbettersecuritysystems.Theproposedfacerecognitionsystemonlyallowsauthorizedpeopleto accessthevehicleorarea,blockinganyoneelse.It’smoreaccurateandefficientthantraditionalsecuritymethodslike keysoralarms,offeringbetterprotectionagainsttheftandfraud.
Ms.E.Devisri,N.Laharichowdary,M.MaheshBabu,T.NaveenKumar,E.PurushothamsaysthatThevehiclesecurity systemusesacameratocheckthedriver’sface.Ifitmatchesanauthorizedperson,thecarstarts,andtheownergetsa locationupdate.Ifthefacedoesn’tmatch,thecarstaysoff,andtheownerisalertedwiththecar’slocation.Itcan manage multiple drivers and cars, offering extra security by tracking the vehicle and sending alerts if someone unauthorizedtriestouseit.

TanishqHarit,UtsavAgarwal,UtkarshSinghsaysthatcarsecuritysystemthatusesfacialrecognitiontoensureonly authorized people can access and start the car. The system is built with an Arduino Uno and programmed using Python.Ithastwostagesoffacialrecognition:oneforunlockingthecarandanotherforstartingtheengine.Ifsomeone unauthorizedtriestoaccessthecar,theenginestaysoff,andtheownergetsanemailalert.Thesystemuseshardware liketheArduino,motordriver,andmotors,showingthatitworkseffectivelyinreal-worldsituationstokeepthecar safe.
Thinkofthissystemlikeateamworkingtogethertoprotectyourcar,withtheRaspberryPi4actingasthebrainsofthe operation.Rightinthemiddleofeverything,theRaspberryPi4quietlyhandlesallthetasks,stayingcalmandsteadythanksto asmooth5Vpowersupply.It'slikethesteadymindofthewholesetup calm,alert,andalwaysincontrol,justaslongasit’s gettingtherightkindofpowertokeepitgoingwithoutahitch.

That5Vdoesn’tcomenaturally it’scarefullyadjustedfromthecar’srough12Vbattery,whichcanspikeordipdependingon theengineandelectronics.
Thisconsistent,dependablepoweriscrucial withoutit,thesystemcouldcrash,freeze,orstartmalfunctioningwheneverthe car’svoltagefluctuates,causingarangeofissues,whichwouldmakeittotallyunreliablewhenyou'reactuallyoutontheroad.
Totheleft,asmallcameraispluggedstraightintothePi,alwayswatchingandreadytorecognizethedriver’sface.Themoment itseessomeone,thePijumpsintoaction,usingsoftwarelikeOpenCVtoscanandconfirmidentity.Ifthefaceisamatch,thePi sends a signal through its pins to a relay think of it as a quiet electrical gatekeeper. That relay does the hard work by supplyingpowertothedoormotor,whichunlocksthelatchorletstheignitionstart.
Ontherightside,thesystemhasasimple16×2LCDscreentocommunicatewiththedriver.Itdisplaysusefulmessageslike “ScanningFace”or“Welcome,AccessGranted,”soyoualwaysknowwhat'shappening.”soyou’reneverleftwonderingwhat’s goingon.Justbelowthat,a4×4keypadgivesyouabackupwayin perfectforthosetimeswhenthecameracan’trecognize youinthedarkorifyou'rewearingsunglasses.Ifthesystemdoesn’trecognizeyourface,noproblem justenteryourPIN,and thecarwillunlocklikeitusuallydoes.
Alloftheseparts thecamera,display,keypad,andmotor areconnectedthroughthePi’spinsandports,witheverything runningthroughthatonesmallcomputer.Allthesepartsworkhandinhandtobuildacleveryetstraightforwardsecurity setup. It knows who you are, keeps your car safe, and makes getting in feel smooth and easy like the car is personally welcomingyou
Overtheyears,carexpertsandtechdevelopershavetriedmanywaystokeepvehiclessafe.Keys,remotes,andPINshavebeen thego-tosecuritymethodsforyears,butthey’renotwithouttheirflaws anyonecanlosethem,copythem,orhackintothem. Theycanbelost,copied,orhacked.

Tofixthis,researchersbeganlookingintousingthingslikeyourfaceasawaytounlockandstartcars.Someearlysystems, suchasFaceID-basedcaraccess,showedthatfacerecognitioncouldbebothsafeandeasytouse.Afewhigh-endcarcompanies haveevenstarted puttingthistechnologyintotheirnewmodels,showingthatit’snotjustanideaforthefuture it’salready happening.
Researchershavealsoworkedonmakingthetechnologybetterindifferentlighting,angles,andconditions,soitworkswellin reallife.Thesedevelopmentshavesetthestageforthenextgenerationofcarprotection smarter,safer,andbuiltforeveryday use

Assoonasthevehicleispoweredon,thefacialrecognitionsystemspringsintoaction,scanningforanyoneapproaching.It’s readytoidentifyandrespondtowhoevercomesThatimageisthenscanned,andthesystemtriestomatchthefacewiththe onesitalreadyknows liketheownerorsomeonewho’sbeengivenpermissiontousethevehicle.Ifthere’samatch,thecar welcomesthembyunlockingthedoors.Butifitdoesn’trecognizetheface,accessisblockedandthecarstayslockedtight.It’sa smartwaytomakesureonlytherightpeoplegetin nokeys,nobuttons,justaquicklook.

6.ALGORITHM
1.Startthesystemandinitializeallcomponents.
2.Checkifmotionisdetected.
3.Ifnomotionisdetected,recheckthestatus.
4.Ifmotionisdetected,runthefacerecognitionalgorithm
5.Determineiftherecognizedpersonisauthorized.
6.Ifthepersonisauthorized,startthemotor.
7.Ifthepersonisnotauthorized,itwillstaylocked.
8.Endtheprocess.

Whenafamiliarfaceisrecognizedbythevehicle'ssecuritysystem,itmeansthesystemhassuccessfullymatchedtheperson’s facewithonethat’salreadystoredinitsdatabase.Inotherwords,it’ssomeonethesystemrecognizes maybetheowner,a familymember,orsomeonewho’sbeentrustedtousethecar.Oncethematchisconfirmed,thesystemmayautomatically unlockthedoors,displaythemessageknownpersonisdetectedandengineisstart.

Whenaunfamiliarfaceisrecognizedbythevehicle'ssecuritysystem,itmeansthesystemhasnotmatchedtheperson’sface withonethat’salreadystoredinitsdatabase.Oncetheunmatchisconfirmed,thesystemmayautomaticallylockthedoors, displaythemessageunknownpersonisdetectedandengineisnotstart.
8. CONCLUSIONS
Facerecognitionisacleverandreliablewaytokeepcarssafe.Ratherthandependingonkeysorpasswordsthatcouldbelost orstolen,thesystemsimplyrecognizesyourfacetoallowaccess.Thismakesitmuchharderforanyoneelsetounlockorstart thecar.Italsomeanstheownerdoesn'thavetocarryextraitemsorremembercomplicatedcodes.Ascarscontinuetoevolve withnewtechnology,usingyourfacetounlockandstartItwilllikelybecomeacommonanddependablepartofcarsecurity.
