Abstract - This project presents a web-based smart commuting system that aims to manage vehicle credentials efficiently and securely. The system incorporates a user dashboard that displays essential vehicle information, such as owner name, vehicleinformationnumber, numberplate, and Aadhar card number, to ensure secure access. The platform also features QR code technology to prevent counterfeit vehicle number plates, making commuting safer. Additionally, the systemincludes road conditionreportsandconstructionwork tohelpusersplantheirrouteefficiently.Overall, thisinnovative solution provides a personalized, secure, and efficient commuting experience for users.
Key Words: Web-based platform, Vehicle credentials, Secure access, QR code technology, Cascading style sheet, RGB values, Hypertext preprocessor.
Commuting has become a daily necessity, with increasing relianceonpersonalvehicles.Managingvehiclecredentials is now a major challenge due to the growing number of vehicles. This report introduces a smart commuting system asecure,web-basedplatformthatmanagesvehicle information efficiently. It features a user dashboard displayingconfidentialdataliketheowner'sname, chassis number, numberplate, andAadhaarnumber, accessibleonly to authorized users. QR code integration helps prevent counterfeitnumberplates, enhancingsecurity.Thesystem also includes real-time updates on road conditions and construction work, allowing commuters to plan routes efficientlyandreducetimeandfuelcosts.Overall, thesystem offers an innovative and secure solution to improve commutingefficiencyandpersonalizeuserexperience.
ThewebapplicationisdesignedusingHTMLandCSSto createanattractiveanduser-friendlyinterface.TheHTML isusedtocreatethestructureofthe webpages, suchas the login page, registration page, about us page, contact uspage, andservicespage.TheCSSisusedtoapplystyles, suchascolors, fonts, andlayouts, tomakethewebpages visually appealingand responsive.ThePHPprogramming language is used to establish a connection with the MySQL database to store and retrieve data. The database stores information related to road condition reports, including the source and destination information, road condition status, number of traffic

signals, number of routes available, and their status. The QRcode is used to display vehicle credentials toenhance userverificationandaccesstorelevantinformation.TheQR codecanbe generated using Pythoncode and integrated intothedatabase.
The web application includes a login page where registereduserscanauthenticateusingtheirusernameand password. PHP verifies these credentials against a MySQL database. Upon successful login, the system retrieves and displays the user’s vehicle information such as vehicle numberandchassisnumberforverification.Theregistration pageenablesnewuserstocreateanaccountbysubmitting required details. PHP is used to validate and sanitize the input beforesecurelystoringitinthedatabase. Theabout us page shares information about the project's purpose, mission, and team, helping users understand the backgroundoftheapplication.Thecontactuspagefeatures a form where users can submit inquiries or feedback, whicharehandledusingPHPtoeithersendemailsorstore them in the database. The services tab is the application's core feature.Users can enter sourceanddestination details toreceiveinformationonroadconditions, trafficsignalsand route status. PHP connects to the database to fetch this data, which is then presented in a clear, user-friendly format. The system also uses QR code technology to securely store and retrieve vehicle- related information. Uponlogin, theuser’sQRcodeisscannedtoextractdetails like vehicle number and chassis number, which are then displayedonthewebpageforverification.

CSS provides a powerful set of properties to style backgrounds, fonts, and text. Background properties like background-color, background-image, background-repeat, background-position, and background-attachment help enhancevisualpresentationbyallowingdeveloperstoadd colors, images, andcontroltheirrepetitionandpositioning. Fonts can font-variant, font-weight, font-size, font-stretch, and font-size- adjust to control the appearance, size, and spacing of text. For text styling, CSS offers properties like color, direction, letter- spacing, word-spacing, text-indent, text-align,text-decoration,text-transform,white-space,and text-shadowtoformatandaligntext,managespacing,and addeffectslikeunderliningorshadowing.Thesetoolsallow webdeveloperstocreateattractiveandreadablewebpages efficiently.

SQL (Structured Query Language), is a powerful and standardizedprogramminglanguageusedformanagingand manipulatingdatastoredinrelationaldatabases.Although SQL is not a database system by itself, it works within database management systems like MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL,SQLServer,DB2,andotherstoperformawide rangeoftasks.WithSQL,userscaninsert, update, delete, and retrieve data from database tables, as well as create and modify database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. It plays a crucial role in data science and analytics by allowing users to describe and managestructureddataefficiently.OneofthereasonsSQLis sowidelyadoptedisitssimplicityandflexibilityinhandling largevolumesofdataacrossvariousplatforms.Forexample, dataprofessionalsuseSQLtoperformeverydayoperations likeupdatingexistingrecords, retrievingspecificinformation from one or multiple tables, deleting obsolete data, and insertingnewdataentries.Additionally,SQLenablesusersto set permissions, apply constraints, and control access to databaseobjectsforbetterdatasecurityandintegrity. Some ofthemostfrequentlyusedSQLcommandsincludeCREATE for defining new databases and tables, INSERT for adding data into tables, SELECT for retrieving data, UPDATE for modifyingexistingrecords,DELETEforremovingunwanted records, andDROPforpermanentlydeletingdatabaseobjects.
