Abstract:

ThisprojectaimstostyleandsimulateasetofdigitalclothesbeneaththeconstructofIrisVanHerpen’sbiomorphismgalvanized fromaorganismreferredtoas“Radiolarains”.Theseareprotozoathathastortuousmineralskeletonpatternsfoundondeepocean andarbestidentifiedforhisorhercomplicated,superblysculpturedminuteskeletons.Thesemodelledininventivestyleonnaturally occuringpatternsorshapes.Biomorphismreferstocoveringthat'sgalvanizedbylifeandmodelledinthreedimensions.IrisVan Herpenusestheconstructofbiomorphismwiththeassistanceofcomplicatedsoftwaresand3Dprinterstofacilitatehertodevelop thegarments.wetendtopointofmanipulatethesefinepatternstoadigitallysimulatedclothesonavatars.Biomorphismrefersto style galvanized from life and modelled in 3 dimensions.The work is meant to develop a set of clothes from the construct of biomorphismgalvanizedbyaorganismreferredtoasRadiolariansbyconductingaprimaryanalysiswiththetargetpopulationto grasptheirpreferences.onceresearchingaseriesofLiteraturereviewsandSurveytaken,thenInterpretationboardiscompleted followingbyInspirationboardandmoodboard.Thesestylesareonthepointofdevelopinasophisticated3Dmodellingcomputer codeandrenderitoutasafinaloutput.

Chapter 1 Introduction

BiomorphismisassociatefrontthatbeganintwentiethCentury.it'smodeledininventivestyleonnaturallyoccuringpatternsor shapes. Biomorphism refers to galvanized by life and modelled in Three dimensions. Iris Van Herpen uses the construct of biomorphismwiththeassistanceofcomplicatedsoftwareand3Dprinterstoassisthedeveloptheclothes.Therecentdevelopment intechnologyhascreatedadramatictransformationswithinthecomingupwithfield.wetendtoaronthepointofdevelopclothes fromtheconstructofbiomorphismgalvanizedfromRadiolarianswithasophisticatedlevel3DprogramcalledCLO3D.CLO3Disa3D VirtualFashionprogramthatisusedinbothfashionandapparelindustryspecificallydesignedtomakegarments.

Objectives

Topromotetheusageof3DprogramsinFashionandApparelIndustries.

 Tocomeupthewiththesimulationsofcollectionsinanindustryusedsoftware.

 Toexecutecomplexstructuresinasimple3Dprogram.

Scope of the work:

ToassistFashionDesignerstopossessadataconcerningabouttheaestheticandfitbeforeconstructionoftheactualgarment.

Intended Approach

ThisworkismeanttodevelopasetofclothesfromtheconceptofBiomorphismgalvanizedbyaorganismreferredtoas Radiolariansbyconductingaprimaryanalysiswiththetargetpopulationtograsptheirpreferences.Onceresearchingaseriesof LiteraturereviewsandSurveytaken,thenInterpretationboardisdonefollowingbyInspirationboardandmoodboard.

Chapter 2 Literature review:

Biomorphic designs reduce stress and enhance creativity. Contemporarybiomorphicdesignsmaystimulateneuralareasthatestablishtheuniquenessoftheobjects.Suchemphasiswouldbe relevanttothenature.[4]KimNadel,“BiophilicandBiomorphicDesign”publishedon2004Whileconstructinghergarments,they weremadeeitherwiththeelectromagneticweavingor3Dhandcasttransparentleather.Herdesignsweremostlyinspiredfrom nature, its beauty, mystery and chaosare the inspirations. Her laser cut and 3D printing of high tech fabric creates the visual languagebecauseofherworkpurelyinspiredfromFluidityandcomplexityofhernaturalandarchitecturaldesignelements.[5]DS Kumar,KPurani,SAViswanathan,”BiomorphicDesignFormsinServicescapes”retreivedfromJournalofServicesMarketingThese aredesignelementsonnaturallyoccurringpatternsorshapesandmodelledinthreedimensions.Thesearemodeledinartistic designelementsonnaturallyoccuringshapesorpatterns.

BiomorphismcomesfromthegreekwordBiosmeanslifeandmorphemeansFormwhichcombinedtohaveLifeform.These designelementsaremainlyinspiredfromlifeelementssuchaswater,air,livingthingssuchasplants,humanbeingsetc.Theseare moreabstractorsurrealisticformofdesign.

Chapter 3 Research Methodology

Research Design: Designer Study: Weareabouttodesigngarmentswithnewconceptswithexistingsoftware.

Ideation:

AfterLiterature,thenextprocessofourworkwillbetheideationofdesign.

TheIdeaoftheprojectisdevelopedbymakinginitialsketches.

Theconceptwillbeimplementedwithaseriesofsketchesrangingfrom20–30sketchesandacollectionoffivesketches willfinalizedforRendering.

3. AfterInitialsketches,designexplorationwillbecarriedout,withstylingportfoliopreparationfortheprogressofwork.

4. FromDesignExploration,finalsketchingwillbedoneandfivestyleswillbefinalizedfordevelopment.

Procedure: 

DesignExplorationwillbemadeafterinitialsketchesorroughsketches. 

WithReferencetodesignexploration,moodboard,referenceboardandcolorBoardwillbedevelopeddigitallywiththe helpofsoftware. 

ThesoftwarewhichwillbeusingforallboardswillbedoneinAdobePhotoshoporAdobeIllustrator. 

ProposedworkwillbefinalizedusingCLO3Dsoftwareintheprojectworksetup.

Project Work Plan:

Astheinitialsketchesweredeveloped,digitalFlatsketchesofthegarmentswillbemade. 

AfterFinalizationofflatsketches,developmentandsimulationof3Dgarmentwillbemadeandrenderingof3Dgarments aredone.

TheSamplewascollectedfrom33Respondents.

 Age Group

Outof33respondents,83.8%oftherespondentsareundertheagegroupof18-24years,whereas9.7%ofthepeople wereundertheagegroupof25-30years.Thisshowsthattheagegroupof18-23arethemajorityoftherespondentscompared tootheragegroups.
