LIVE OUTDOORS

Natural Stone Landscaping Boutique & Luxury Outdoor Living

Shaped by Time Not by Trend

Each piece of natural stone is inherently unique, marked by the geology it came from, and the journey it has taken to arrive here. What you see is not a finish applied, but a story uncovered.

In every season, it responds without losing itself. Frost settles on its surface without altering its character. Light draws out its tones. Rain deepens it. Time refines it.

This is material chosen not for a moment, but for a lifetime.

Thoughtfully designed. Carefully placed. And built to be lived with, season after season, year after year.

About us

We are The Hillsborough Collection, a curated range of natural stone, stocked and showcased in Hillsborough.

We provide a complete design, supply and installation service, creating bespoke natural stone landscapes for residential and commercial projects alike. Every scheme is carefully considered. Materials are hand-selected at source from quarries around the world, then brought together through craftsmanship, precision and experience.

Working entirely in-house, we create a seamless connection from quarry to completion. The result is a refined and enduring space, shaped with intention and built to last.

From elegant patios to fully realised outdoor living environments, our work goes beyond the surface, creating places designed for living, gathering and returning to, season after season.

Expert Maintenance

Made by nature. Refined

Reasons for you to choose natural stone solutions. by

time.

Natural stone is not only sustainable from a climate and cost perspective, it also contributes to a better environment for residents in urban areas in purely qualitative terms. 1 2 3 4

Natural stone is shown to reduce costs by 40% over 50 years, primarily thanks to lower maintenance costs.

Quarrying natural stone is subject to environmental regulations in many regions, which ensure quarries follow strict environmental guidelines.

Natural stone kerbstones have a total climate impact equivalent to around 3 kg CO2 equivalents/m, as opposed to 60 kg CO2 equivalents/m for concrete kerbstones.

5

6

Replacing concrete for natural stone in housing areas that have had problems with vandalism, resulted in residents spending more time outdoors and increasing the quality of life.

Natural stone has advantages as it always has seams, and therefore working drainage which reduces the risk of large amounts of water collecting. Climate change makes extreme rainfalls more common. The maximum daily rainfall is expected to increase by 20-30 percent.

7 8

Natural stone is in itself a sustainable product with excellent properties, especially when it comes to climate impact and life cycle analyses. The ecological life-cycle of a natural stone tile is approx. 84% lower than that of a large ceramic tiles.

Natural stone has been used for thousands of years as a construction material, but also for monuments, decoration and in industrial processes.

Donegal Sandstone has been long favoured as a building material in Northern Ireland. This finely grained stone is today only commercially quarried in West Tyrone and Donegal.

The Mullaghmore sandstone is very distinctive in terms of colours which are bright yellow and rust orange varieties due to the oxidation of iron weathering.

Mount Charles sandstone on the other hand is described as ‘creamy to nearly white’ in colour.

Chinese materials have been a popular choice for the UK and Ireland for many years. The Chinese refer to their stones not by names but by numbers.

Platinum Pearl - Silver/Grey

This grey granite is easily the most popular stone to come out of china as it is the most cost effective. It is widely used commercially but is also a very appropriate varient to the home owner.

Pepperino - Mid grey

Slightly lighter in colour than the Indian Black, this Blue Granite comes in a variety of formats and finishes.

Lava Buff - Beige

This stone is a medium grained, yellow to pink granite of the Precambrian period. There are principally three sectors of G682 Granite - light, medium and gold. G682 looks best as a polished or honed finish as flaming and shot blasting reduces the vibrancy of the colour.
