New specialist residential service for men opening Spring 2025!
We are delighted to announce that we will be opening a new specialist residential service, Homelands, early in 2025.
Homelands is designed for men with a learning disability or mental health diagnosis who have a forensic background and require specialist support to enable them to live safe and meaningful lives in the community The service is ideal for those stepping down from hospital or those for whom supported living is unsuitable
Homelands is located on the outskirts of Newport in a beautiful rural location, which will suit men unable to live in urban areas or those who require a low stimulus environment.
The home will be made up of five bespoke single-person flatlets with ensuites and communal areas for individuals to use as they wish.
The men who live at Homelands will be able to access clinical support provided by our multidisciplinary team if required. This can include psychiatric oversight, psychological interventions, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy.
Our in-house approved clinicians, supported by our Mental Health Act department, are able to offer statutory clinical supervision for those subject to supervised conditional discharge.
Our homes also have access to a Positive Practice Worker who is responsible for coordinating everyone’s Positive Behavioural Support Plan alongside the people we support and their staff teams.
