Alumni Spotlight

You see it all over the University of Findlay campus, and it almost appears to happen organically.

People coming together to actively work to assist those who need it, whether it’s the innate quality of the students, faculty, and staff at UF, or the attitude of support and encouragement that just seems to naturally happen. My name is Nicole Burgy. I graduated from UF in 1999 with a dual major degree in Business Administration and Accounting, and I am the new President of the Alumni Association Board of Governors. I am a longtime member of the local community, having been raised in Arcadia, Ohio, right outside of Findlay, and now working at Marathon Petroleum Company as the Tax Director - Indirect Tax Compliance and Planning. UF’s mission is to equip students for meaningful lives and productive careers. My life and career and that of so many other UF alumni that I know and have had the opportunity to meet throughout the years since I graduated reflect this mission. Supporting UF ensures that our future generations have the same opportunities we had while at UF. Findlay is my home and UF is a key part of Findlay, and we need to make it certain that others have the same opportunity that I did to earn a degree from UF. I am thrilled to be in a position to make a difference at UF, and I encourage you to lend a helping hand and to make a difference whenever you see that it’s needed. It’s the Oiler Nation way.
